Lovely place . Great food. I had the chicken in a cream and brandy sauce which was delicious . My daughter enjoyed her gluten free pasta and my husband had a delicious mixed fish dish . The ambience is nice and the service is very professional . We will be back !

We booked ahead and immediately greeted and shown to a socially distanced table in this small one room restaurant. The typical Italian menu had an extensive selection plus several specials. We plumped for the spaghetti carbonara and pizza stagioni. Both were perfectly cooked and reasonably priced at 10.95 and 12.95 respectively. Our waiters were helpful, attentive and efficient.

I can see why there's so much praise for this restaurant in prior reviews and it certainly lived up to them when we visited. Their sauces are execeptionaly tasty. Big Yorkshire sized portions, quality unbelievebly good. Most friendliest of welcomes with service second to none. Looks to be their full menu on offer which affords much choice. I see there is a comment re what was felt to be a lack of social distancing. The tables are arranged in three rows with the centre row not used. Yes, you could say the tables are perhaps a bit close together but it's back to back and anyone facing will meet the two metre criteria. No real feeling of being on top of one another. The customers were very disciplined, wearing face coverings when leaving the tables. Staff ware them all of the time. Free parking is available just over the road. No, Boston Spa was one of those places where you drove through to get to somewhere else with a nighmare at times of on street parking to negotiate. If other restaurants can meet this standard, my views will change dramatically.

We have eaten here many times over the years, but our last visit wasn't great. Usually we have dinner here, but thought we would try Sunday Lunch. I had the Pork Belly, which I am fully aware has an element of fat in it, but it hardly had anything edible in it. When the waiter collected the plates, he didn't comment on the large amount I had left, so I politely pointed out it was practically devoid of meat, to which he just shrugged his shoulders. In fairness the other main course and the starters/puddings were ok, but at £22.99 for a main course Sunday dinner (+10% service charge) and a total bill of £108 for two which included just one drink each, it wasn't great value.

Wow we absolutely love this place!!! We been going a few years now and the staff are so nice . Had lasagne last night for the first time ( as some places it’s bland) the best lasagne I’ve ever had. My son had the chicken stroganoff which he always has and they make it exactly how he like it with no gherkins or mushrooms. The tomato garlic bread is so simple yet so scrumptious, in fact we have to go at least once a month as my son says he “ needs” one. 🤣🤣🤣 can’t recommend the place enough to be honest, it’s about the only restaurant where it’s consistently perfect every time. Can’t wait for next month 😊😊😊😊

We struggled to find somewhere to eat in Boston Spa on a Sunday, when we met friends who gave us the bad news that the restaurant they normally go to had gone out of business. After walking around we found one which looked promising only to be advised that due to 'problems' the only thing they were offering was bacon sandwiches - which explained why every table was empty! We came across L'Aquila when we were about to give up - on a corner, it was smart and had simple, fresh decor, and we were greeted warmly when we asked if they had a table for 5. The food was excellent, with our party all enjoying a variety of pastas, a pizza, brushcetta, garlic bread, however, my prawn risotto was particularly good. Service was the right balance of friendly and discrete, and it was good to see an Italian family come in to eat also. The gelato was very highly rated by those who had that, but the homemade tiramisu was probably the best I had ever had - the boss had promised I would not be disappointed when I ordered it, and he was right.

We visited L'Aquila with friends over the weekend. The first time we have eaten here and will definitely return when staying in Boston Spa. A warm welcome, friendly, helpful and professional service. Not rushed. Food delicious, all freshly prepared and cooked. Dishes enjoyed a selection of starters, followed by calves liver, lasagne, steak and pizza - all dishes perfect. The portions are generous and we shared some Tiramisu. Comprehensive wine list. Reasonably priced. The menu list for varied with something for everyone. A really lovely Italian family run restaurant, with a lovely and relaxed atmosphere. Although really busy not noisy and service did not falter. Will look forward to visiting L'Aquila again, would suggest booking to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended. Thank you, Jill & Warren x

Really lovely family meal here for the first time. We got booked in for a Tuesday evening and the atmosphere was lovely, really nice and busy for a midweek meal and all three courses were delicious. The service was particularly lovely and the family who had traveled to come all really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Our family love it at L’Aquila. A small, independently ran Italian restaurant, with the most friendly staff you’ll ever meet! Between the 4 of us in my family, we’ve been to L’Aquila 4 times this month! To say the restaurant isn’t local to us, that should show how worthwhile a trip here is. The specials menu is always worth a look, meanwhile the a la carte menu has so much variety to choose from. Highlights for us are always: the tomato garlic bread - simple but tasty, the carbonara - very authentic and high quality ingredients (no bacon in sight!), the fillet steak - always cooked to perfection and the desserts, just delicious. Oh and the portions are huge! Make sure you save enough space to try plenty this menu has to offer. See you again soon! 😄

This is such a lovely, intimate little restaurant. The service was very quick and the waiters friendly. For starters I had goats cheese and mushroom arancini. It was nice but I wish it had a little more flavour, EG stronger goats cheese or a dash of white wine for extra flavour? My boyfriend had the tiger prawns in garlic, white wine and chilli sauce. These were delicious and couldn’t be faulted. For mains my boyfriend had pepperoni pizza which he loved. I had fillet steak stroganoff which was delicious and such a good portion size. We will definitely be returning as there’s so much on the menu we want to try.

L'Aquila is an independent family run Italian Restaurant in Boston Spa. We have eaten here now many times for lunch and also for dinner in the evenings, as such we can highly recommend eating here as we have chosen different dishes with friends, a comprehensive menu with everything freshly cooked and delicious, a good wine list. We have enjoyed pasta dishes, seafood/fish and meat dishes, they are all without exception divine. The chef's knowledge of taste and seasonings is excellent, a good Tiramisu too! Book to avoid disappointment. We look forward to returning the next time we are visiting friends nearby. Thank you for all our wonderful visits to you delightful restaurant!

Four of us had booked for dinner at 17:30. Very friendly staff who served us well. Our starters were Mussels, minestrone and fish cakes. The minestrone was very good though I would have preferred some fresh white bread with it rather than the toast. Main courses were the lamb, very good, Seabass, excellent, the Chicken stroganoff, good but had a bit if gristle in it and the lasagne, very good. All served promptly. £160 for the four of us including drinks and service wasn’t too bad. There was one other table of 6 occupied when we got there and later a table for weight was taken, it did get rather noisy, which was a shame.
