As busy as it was, our party of five was seated quickly and our service from start to finish was terrific! The fish and chips were perfect and the clam "chowdah" and stuffed mushrooms were yummy! It was a perfect start to a great vacation...in York.More

We were very happy with the food, but we were seated in a cold bar with zero atmosphere even though it was fairly busy. Listening to customers at the next table cursing wasn’t exactly how I like to spend an evening out.

While on a visit to Maine we decided to stop here for a late lunch. Delicious clam chowder was a good choice on a cloudy rainy day. Also enjoyed steak sandwich served with wonderful non traditional fries. Lovely ambiance, great staff and service. Following lunch...we walked next door for ice cream which was also delicious!More

Thank you so much for your review!!! Our home made clam chowder just won a recent 1st place in a Seacoast chowder contest! So we also think it’s pretty good 😊 Glad you enjoyed your experience.

We found this wonderful restaurant during our little drive up the coast to Maine. The environment was lovely with room enough for the family. I had the Lobster stir-fry and it was amazing. It was my first time eating it and I would say they...made it taste great. My husband had the fish and chips and he loved those. We also go the cheesecake for dessert and it was wonderful. This was a great find for dinner!More

Finally visited York River Landing after many failed attempts. They are constantly busy and have proven hard to get a table during busy seasons. They have a wonderful atmosphere overlooking the beautiful river. The restaurant is large but the log cabin look makes it feel...cozy. Service was good and our waitress was at the top of her game. The drink menus at this restaurant were huge! Over 20 beers on tap - impressive. Our cocktails were made perfectly and strong, well worth the money. As for the food, we shared the stuffed mushrooms - inventive and deliciously filled with brie and fresh crab meat. Our fish and chips were the best part. Perfectly cooked fish and hand-cut fries. We really appreciated the misshapen fry cuts; definitely not frozen. We will be back during the warmer months to enjoy their patio...if it's not too busy.More

Service was decent. We were able to get a table for 9 with a day of reservation mid week. Nice beer selection. Highlights are the crab encrusted haddock and pan seared salmon. Went on a Tuesday and they have raw oysters for $1 each which...was great. This place is right on the river on RT 1. They have an ice cream shack with covered seating at back of their property with huge portions for smallest size. Good deal for the price.More

I went with family and friends. I had the tenderloin, they had broiled haddock. It was one of the best steaks I have had and very reasonably priced. Drinks were very good as well and we shared a dessert. Our waitress was very accommodating and...personable she was a pleasure. I would definitely recommend if you are ever in York.More

Great seafood/steak restaurant with river views. Ice cream store next door, uncertain if it’s seasonal. The clam chowder was delicious! We both ordered fish entrees that were cooked to perfection and accompanied by a starch and veggie side. Definitely will visit again. Service was on...slower side but restaurant was crowded with a long wait on a Friday evening.More

We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon in August 2023. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time, but we were told it got really busy at night. Everyone was nice and friendly and service was great. The hummus appetizer was delicious, the lobster...rolls were amazing, and the pinot grigio and lager beer we chose hit the spot. Outdoor dining on the terrace overlooking the river is limited to bar stools at a counter, with no tables. But the indoor tables also had a nice view of the river. There is a huge parking lot, so parking is easy. On Sunday afternoon they also have a dinner menu, and some of the dinners we saw looked amazing. The menu has a good selection, prices are reasonable, and the food and service were very good. We'll definitely return the next time we vacation in the area.More

Simonizzze, thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. The side porch does have a great view of the York River, as well as our screened-in Deck that holds 50 people. Glad you enjoyed your selections of your drinks and food....More

Great food and great service! Our second time here did not disappoint! Amanda was our waitress and was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The stir fry with chicken was excellent. My husband had the haddock and it was perfectly prepared.

I've never had a worse crab cakes. I said I'd pay for it even though after one bite, I was virtually angry at how sad they were. Like under cooked pancakes. They were pleased to let me pay for it. No apology or offer. My...friends' food was great; cleaned their plates. Someone teach this chef about a real creak cake, not a mulched canned pancake...softly grilled. So gross.More

This restaurant overlooks the York River. It looks rustic inside with wooden tables & chairs, although one section has wooden booths. They have a parking lot. FYI, for those of you who like to eat healthier, they offer entree salads for both lunch & dinner,...& you can add a protein, if you'd like. The fries were homemade & tasty. My dining companion enjoyed his salmon wrap (without the onions). The reason I took off one star is that their Maine clam chowder was terrible. It was so thick I think you might have been able to stick a fork in it upright. When I told our waitress, who was a sweetheart, she spoke to the manager who took the chowder off my bill. The waitress commented that their clam chowder ordinarily was quite good but that she thought this was a bad batch. If so, it shouldn't have been served to diners though...More

We had lunch here with a large group of people. The service was good and the food outstanding. The fried pickles were delicious and so were the burgers. We will come back next time we are in town.

We used to stop here on all trips to Maine. It was a simple place with reasonably priced food. New owners have remodeled and now have a menu that is overpriced and with limited seafood offerings for lunch. I go to Maine for seafood, not...some overpriced chef's creation. Not worth the money.More

Great views of the river, rustic atmosphere inside, food was good, fries looked a little heavy to me but were tasty as I sampled a few. Would definitely return for quiet casual eating.
