These are some of the best sandwiches in Bethesda. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking which is a big plus in this area.

Busy deli and upscale packaged/canned food and delicacies; small but good selection of upscale wines and beer. Stuffed sandwiches, NY deli style (not Kosher as some reviewers say), subs, shrimp salad. Counter offers typical deli sides and salads and limited knishes. Bread offerings should be better, i.e., rye bread is commercial sliced loaf that adds little flavor to the sandwich... More

If you're out and hunger strikes, get in line to have a sandwich made to order. The choice is large and the food ok.

Hidden gem in a strip mall with great kosher deli sandwiches and full assortment of cold cuts. Good selection of kosher items for the house too.

The easy pick here is the Italian Sub. Loaded with meat and cheese on a fresh, crusty sub roll, shredded lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar with just the right seasoning: makes me hungry writing about it! Overall, very high quality deli.

Macon opened with a splash a year or so ago as a clear cut above--in cuisine, verve and price--its Connecticut Avenue neighbors. It is more than holding its own. Its menu continues to surprise, often with whimsical variations of old standbys. Take Johnny cakes, a centuries old, indigenous Rhode Island variation on pancakes, crunchy, nearly as thin as French crepes,... More

My husband and I wanted to enjoy a late-in-the-day lunch. Ordered a chicken burrito and a slice of quiche and a soda for $17. The burrito was medium sized and tastee, not spicy. My quiche was a bit soggy and not flavorful. We ate in, with tables crowded together and plastic utensils.

Bradley Food and Beverage is a small store with a selection of high-end, but expensive products. However, there is a secret to this store that only the locals know: they sell the best sandwiches in Bethesda (I dare say even in all of Maryland). Go in with an empty stomach, ask for either the Thursday or Wednesday Special and I... More

I’ve only been to Bradley Food & Beverage one time and once was enough. I walked in to check out their wine selection and found my favorite bottle that I have only ever seen out of state. I was elated until I got to the cash register. With a VALID drivers license from out of state I was denied the... More
