An excellent place to stay and eat. Run by an exceptionally welcoming couple and great staff this restaurant had a varied and interesting menu that was both tasty and amazing value. Cannot recommend enough.

This was an unexpected highlight of our French holiday, the restaurant is run by a hard working English couple with the husband in the kitchen and the wife front of house, a position she was born to be in. The menu is delivered verbally in English or French with a minimum of three choices per course, all of which were delicious and the value was incredible. The dining room has a glass wall looking over the countryside and the ambiance was so relaxing that 2 hours flashed by. A visit here if you are in the area is highly recommended.

We did not know ahead of time what kind of a big treat we would get and run into entering this "petit" restaurant. We hiked the Morvan Mountains on foot and were glad to have found, at last, a promising "food place" - but it turned out to be a highlight of our trip, both foodwise, wine-wise, and the excellent taste was accompanied by a most hospitable cook himself and his charming wife explaining the wonderful dishes and the desserts. Through the so positive network with the people in the tiny town, we also got the best overnight place we could have looked for. Thank you, it was wonderful! Claudia & Uli Clever from Germany

10 meals, 5 evenings. The score is substantial! Bad start with the owner who says in English to another table that she likes to shock the French. That evening, we were the only French people...Indeed madam, I was shocked by the cuisine! The tiny starters and the cold meats cut as thin as cigarette paper. The presentation, 3 evenings, is the same with pickles, 2 pickles and 1 salad leaf. I would have liked a little more variation... For the dishes, the meat is cut into small cubes, giving the illusion that the plate is full. Again, the same side dish 2 evenings in a row and ridiculously small portions. The meat is a little dry, although bathed in the sauces, as if it had been cooked separately. By the way, the soy sauce beef was flooded with soy sauce, and way too salty. There was nothing old about the old-fashioned blanquette. For desserts, I ate 3 tarte tatins in the region, and this was the only one that was served without a scoop of ice cream. The apricot crumble was nothing crumble , and was covered with musli or granola. The cheese cake was actually a mousse. And the pears had to be poached in water, then placed on top of the syrup. Too bad, because the syrup was very good, but the pears were tasteless, with a 10th of a strawberry on the ice as decoration...At the end of the 5 meals I thought that a commercial gesture would have been made, like a digestive offered, but nothing! And the icing on the cake was the chef who visited all the tables every evening, except ours! I would point out that we were forced to choose the dishes and that each evening, it was 1 starter, 1 main course, 1 dessert. So they weren't caught off guard. The only restaurant in Glux, I have the feeling that they are taking advantage of it. For those who don't know local cuisine, know that it's not that at all. Although not bad, the appellations and high-sounding names are misleading. Too disappointed

Votre groupe a commencé à 12.

Very delicious. Apparently they have different menu's throughout the seasons, but the ones we took were really great, the wine was excellent, a various assortment of great cheese and delightful desserts. I took the apple crumble, one of the best I have ever tasted, and yet I regretted it because my husband took the tradintional english sticky pudding, which tasted exquisite. We recommend this lovely restaurant with its cosy interior and great service with a smile.

We arrived at 13.20h and were told that the kitchen was already closed and that - so we know - lunch in France was stricktly between 12-14h. Our first reaction was to feel bad that we were so late, but driving back home we increasingly felt unwelcome and badly treated. Never have we been sent away at 13.20h for lunch. Clearly hospitality was not on their minder at that moment...too bad.

We have visited twice during our holiday and the only downside is we can't take the restaurant home with us! The owners are absolutely lovely, and the menu is rolling, so everything is super fresh and absolutely delicious. Reservation is required, we have one fussy eleven year old and one partial vegan in our group and both were very happy (although I think it would be helpful to notify when booking of any veganism!) I honestly couldn't recommend this lovely restaurant enough, the hospitality, the food, the value for money all absolutely 10 out of 10. Our party of seven couldn't be happier!

We had a very good evening and a very good meal was served to everyone; children’s menu, foie gras, trout, beef or even the “mounjetado” specialty. Very well-executed gourmet cuisine, from starters to desserts. Thanks to the team

This restaurant is finally something different from all the other restaurants in France. You don't get standard French food like Boeuf Bourguignon but delicious separate food and homemade desserts. It is also very affordable. English hostess Jill and cook Chris are super welcoming. If you are in the area, make a reservation and definitely eat there. Wed-Thu. closed).

British owners host a small French restaurant. He cooks, she hosts the guests and prepares the deserts. 3 course menu for 28 euros choices of at least 3 dishes per course. Nice food, not the usual dishes but the cook thinks of new combis himself. Fish, meat or chicken as main course, all perfectly seasoned. Deserts are great, the choice is awesome. The inside of the restaurant is outdated, but cosy. The terrace is fine with picknick tables.

Ate here 4 times in a week because it was so good. The owners are really lovely and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Can’t fault it. Food excellent value and delicious. Ever-changing menu so we were never bored. Wine was top notch too. Real hidden gem. 10/10 would recommend.

Lovely homely vibe, French dishes combined with some English love. It was my birthday and that was taken into account. We returned the next week to a fresh menu and the same hospitality. Absolutely loved everything and for a small price.
