This is an upscale, fine dining establishment. It is pricey and the food and service are worth it! Want to impress your date, treat someone to something extraordinarily special. This is it! ther may be two other restaurants in the Whole of Howard County, MD that coould compete with this Restaurant

We got a Groupon for this place and thought we would try it. It's an expensive place (even with the groupon) for what we ordered. It's one of those places where people go to show off their fancy clothes and enjoy "rich people" atmosphere, cause for me the food was just average (not worth the money we paid).

Six of us went to EFI for Thanksgiving. This was our second year dining there for Thanksgiving and as usual, everything was very good. The menu choices were all delicious. Highly recommend the Elkridge Furnace Inn for any special occasion.

The food was marvelous but pricey. If your pocketbook allows, this is a great place to eat. They only have a service bar (not one to sit at) so singles are at a table. The wait staff is very attentive. The ambiance is wonderful if you like historical venues (which I do). Reservations are taken so if you are at... More

Took my hubby for his b'day to this elegant building and gourmet restaurant. Before I comment on the food, I have to compliment the architecture of the building. It's is a 350 years old building, with an inviting cozy porch. The stairway and woodwork show the craftsmanship of colonial days. Not only the architecture of the building, the food is... More

Following a business meeting, we looked for a place for dinner that had a good rating, but didn't pay much attention to the price range. I love old inns, and the Elkridge Furnace Inn had all the charm of colonial inn. We enjoyed a great dinner by the fireplace. Not many folks here on a Wednesday evening, but it was... More

Beautiful old home and very nice gardens start you in a good mood, but the extended politeness and courtesy of staff if OUTSTANDING. Not only were they present in a prompt manner, the ALWAYS to a moment to say 'if you need more time, or want something you don't see -- just say so!' The food the was unique but... More

The service is excellent and the food presentation is wonderful. In addition, the owner is hands-on and donates much time and money to worthwhile charities such as Johns Hopkins Pediatric Unit. The ambience is incredible and especially at Christmas, the décor is phenomenal. The food is very good, but portions are a little small but that is fine if you... More

Thank you for dining with us. I am sorry that you felt the portions were small. We use products we raise on our property for our salads and side dishes in an effort to give... More

If you like elegance and being treated like you're royalty, this is the place to go. We were greeted at the door, literally, and taken to our table immediately. It's a shame we weren't there for a special occasion because we would have received champagne on the house as the party at a nearby table did. The meals were excellent... More

Went there for a very belated anniversary dinner. As usual, the food was outstanding. We especially like the recommended wine with each dish. You can get a 3 ounce tasting rather than a full glass. It is a great way to try new wines without breaking the bank. The service is outstanding as well.
