We enjoyed a surprising and unexpectedly good dinner here, especially after our disappointing lunch at the Tidewater Grille. To be fair the decor wouldn't have enticed us in had we not been recommended the place by the owner of the Washington Street Books and Music shop (a fabulous store with an impressive military section, film selection and movie memorabilia), but... We have been to this pub and enjoyed its locally obtained food many times but the last visit was a huge disappointment, I'm sad to say. We had a foreign guest and wanted some place close to save time. Food was mediocre and certainly NOT worth the inflated prices. Salmon entree was about 4 oz, sickly for a $22 price.... More

Go here to eat! Don't hesitate. Just go. Eat local seasonal food and have the bartender make you a special cocktail.

Generally get off I95 for lunch or dinner and have always eaten at one of two waterfront eateries. Today we decided to try something new. Parking was easy on Washington St. Almost missed entrance due to dark heavy drapery on inside of main entrance. Once inside we were warmly greeted and given seating choice. We chose a high top with... More

I think Laurrapin Grille was a little overpriced for their pub-style food. I had the Filet Cheesesteak which was average tasting and highly priced. Drinks are high priced also. Not sure I would return and the place smelled a little musty to me in the pub area. My first impression of this restaurant was not so great ~ sorry Laurrapin... More

If you are not a local, this is really not the place for you to go. The restaurant misses with it's prices, menu selections, will not deviate even when they have the ability to make what used to be on the menu. The response was not expected and disappointing. Have children, this is not the place for them either. Service... More

Attended a surprise party with @ 50 other guests. Service was extremely good. Menu selection was well described and tasty. Worth the price!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with some friends this weekend at Laurrapin. They had a few vegetarian options which is always a plus for us. Additionally, our meat eater friends really liked the burgers. I wish they had a brunch menu but other than that we would definitely go back.

Ambience of the place was great. Has live music which was good. Came in for dessert, a drink and to hear a tune. Cocktail tasted great but was essentially $10 for a glass of ice. Took a chance on an unusual dessert. Didnt like it. Waiter took it away but didnt ask if we wanted to try something else. Charged... More

The chef is a renown entity and the food is testament. I find the atmosphere inviting, if not top of the line. The service was very good and the prices in line with what you get, perhaps even better. In this age of chains, Laurrapin stands out. Note: longtime colleagues will become owners in early 2017. Thanks for saying if... More
