RH&B in Laurel has wonderful food from the pulled pork and ribs to the potato salad and hush puppies. The service is friendly and it's fun to look at the 1950s memorabilia on the wall. The kids menu has chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and grilled cheese. There is plenty of parking behind the restaurant. The only reason I rated... More

I usually go to the location off Rt.50 after the Bay Bridge on the way home from a weekend at the beach. Although sometimes I go to the one in Old Laurel, MD There's always a wait for a table but it's worth it. I enjoy getting the "dry" ribs and add sauce at the table for an intense barbecue... More

Was really in the mood for some good barbecue, but unfortunately this just didn't deliver. The loaded bacon and cheese fries were amazing, but the pulled pork sandwich was bland. The sauce provided was also somewhat bland. The service was friendly, if a bit slow.

Went with my family during non lunch hour and service was great. Food was excellent. Portions were generous. Meat cooked to order. Sides were good and not too salty.

Saturday evening, with family we have not seen recently. We went to Red, Hot and Blue for dinner. The service was excellent, food great. The atmosphere was friendly. There was an item called Memphis Fries on the menu which I did not know what variation of fries that was. A guy at the next table heard me and showed me... More

This is the first negative Tripadvisor review I have ever written. Ordered a late lunch to go, on a Tuesday afternoon from the bar. Got the order quickly enough but they forgot to add the chicken to a pulled chicken salad. Appetizer combo was 2 pounds of soggy onion rings and processed cheese cubes. Sausage was okay with the spicy... More

This is the place for ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and excellent service! RH&B is one of our "go to" restaurants in Laurel. And they have the best ribs, pulled pork, and sausage around. Our favorite person of their excellent wait-staff is Jana, who is a pure gem! Jana is friendly and helpful, and just wonderful. We always order the same... More

A sincere THANK YOU to Jana from Red Hot & Blue for making us feel at home at this fine establishment. This place exudes friendliness and its authentic southern style fare is spectacular. Ribs? Check. Brisket? Check. Sweet tea? Check. Baked beans? Check. Potato salad? Check. Pecan pie? Check. Hush puppies? Double check. As native Texans and now New England... More

We were in Laurel MD and visited Red Hot and Blue. Food and service very good. Long time staff and I prefer to eat at and support a local restaurant vs a 'chain restaurant' whenever possible. Very pleased and would definitely return if back in the area.

Description
Red Hot and Blue is a full-service, casual-themed restaurant chain and caterer featuring delicious award-winning ribs, Memphis-style barbeque, smoked wings, and Southern sides and desserts. The atmosphere is steeped in legendary and contemporary blues music and delivers a large dose of Southern hospitality in a fun and entertaining dining environment. History: The first Red Hot and Blue restaurant opened in Arlington, Virginia in 1988, started by Lee Atwater, Don Sundquist and friends. Don Sundquist was from Memphis and served in the House of Representatives and as governor of Tennessee. The late Lee Atwater was an amateur blues musician and political figure that managed George H.W. Bush's successful race for the presidency. These men were friends who longed for authentic Memphis-style barbeque and great blues music. Unable to find that combination anywhere in the Washington, DC area they decided the only way to get it done was to open a restaurant of their own. The Memphis-style barbeque chain celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2013 by partnering with a charitable organization at 24 different restaurant locations. The yearlong celebration culminated in the presentation of thousands of dollars in donations to local charities. The Name: The name, "Red Hot and Blue" is taken from the title of D.J. Dewey Phillip's radio show that that aired on WHBQ-AM in Memphis, Tennessee in the 1950s. This radio show launched the careers of Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash and broadened the audience for artists such as BB King, Muddy Waters, Robert Cray and Rufus Thomas. Red Hot & Blue Dine-In, Take-Out and Catering. Hickory-smoked Memphis-style BBQ, Ribs, Wings, Beef Brisket, Smoked Chicken, Seafood, Full-service Bar, in a Family-friendly atmosphere with a heapin' helpin' of Southern Hospitality!
