Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This snack shack is across the street from Craigville beach so I didn’t expect great food but I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered a lobster salad and it came on a full bed of fresh greens with chopped cucumber and chopped tomatoes and just lightly...dressed with Mayo and it was delicious!! Lots of claw meat, nice and sweet, probably one of the best lobster salads I have ever had! Unfortunately they close right after Labor Day. The wait got your food can be kind of long…. Long lines and short staffed but drinks came out almost immediately, so at least you could sip your drink while waiting.More

Incredibly delicious grilled English muffin breakfast sandwiches! Plain bagels are delicious grilled with cream cheese. Tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked fish and chips- upgrade to amazing fries. The chips are great, too. Lobster roll was lacking in flavor. It might have only had a drop of...mayo in it. No celery or seasoning. It was on the tiniest hot dog roll that I have ever seen, but it was grilled. The amount of lobster was just okay. We couldn't find the hours listed online. They are usually open 8 AM to 6 PM, except 8 to 8 on Friday and Saturday.More

After a day at Craigville beach we walked across the street to get a late lunch. They have a very good selection of food and i got salad with grilled shrimp. It was much better than expected. Lots of customers but our food came out...quickly. Staff was friendly and they kept the area very clean. It is expensive but you are paying for the location.More

On our drive along Cape Cod we looked for a casual place to eat with two young kids. This fit the bill. Picnic tables are outside or under a covered area. Food was reasonably priced for a beach area. We ordered clam strips and fries...and they were both good. They offer whole belly clams as well and have a wide variety of lunch options. Parking is across the street at Craigsville Beach, which is a nice guarded beach area with a bath house and restrooms if needed (did not see restrooms at The Barnacle).More

We had amazing fresh fish and chips, sitting with a view of the ocean right across the street. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. I highly recommend!

We needed an easy dinner last night and we drove over to the Barnacle Snack Bar, located on Craigville Beach Rd across from the beach. There are two snack bars. One has more seafood offerings. We ordered the three fish tacos and a lobster roll...to go. When we opened the container, we saw a hefty mound of home cooked potato chips which were crunchy & tasty. The tacos had fried cod pieces and grated cabbage along with a moderately picante mayonnaise sauce to give it a kick. The lobster roll included a generous serving of large pieces and not too much mayonnaise. It also was served with a side of those delicious chips. All in all, it was a tasty and easy take out from a quality beach bar on Craigville Beach.More

After a nice walk along the beach a friend and I decided to try out the Barnacle Snack Bar. Being it was a cooler overcast summer day there was no wait. I was pleasantly surprised that the prices weren't ridiculously touristy expensive, just normal touristy...prices. My friend and I shared the fish and chips which after just having returned from Ireland left me confused when it came with actual chips (which were yummy, possibly made fresh verses bagged). The fish was flakey and moist and the breading not overly thick. We could have used a slightly bigger portion of cole slaw and if the breading on the fish was much thinner it would have been soggy. All in all we enjoyed our little detour and you can't beat the location.More

So convenient right across the street from Craigville Beach! It got a little overwhelmed at peak lunch time (we waited 40 minutes for our food one day) but in general we loved it. The hamburgers, french fries, and clam strips were especially good.

We stayed late at the beach one day and ate here for dinner. Great selection of sandwiches as well as fried dinner plates, hamburgers and hot dogs. We had the fish tacos and fries. They were the best. Three five inch tacos with slaw and...a little sauce. Fries were great too. This little place has a great location across from the beach. Staff was extremely friendly. They also carry Four Seas ice cream which is the best. We will certainly return. Highly recommended for a quick meal. Lots of outdoor seating.More

The Barnacle Snack Bar is very convenient when spending the day at Craigville Beach. It's located directly across the street and offers a nice variety of foods. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. They also offer picnic tables directly in front allowing you...to 'get out of the sun' and not have eat on the beach. I would suggest a burger next time you're at Craigville ... you won't be sorry!More

Right across the street from Craigville beach. You can walk up in your cover up away from seagulls. Food quality was very decent- prices reasonable. Fish tacos were the best. We tried the clam strip rolls, chicken sandwich and the burger - all good. There...are tables and chairs, tissues. Once you are done- go back to the beach. we loved it!More

Okay so you really wouldn't trust a snack bar pizza usually but I peeked inside to see if it really was brick oven or not before ordering. So clean and the pizza was delicious. We ordered the Hawaiian and mozz. Sticks. The small was more...than enough for 2 people, we even had left over. Would definitely recommend especially if your sick of beach sea food.More
