Almost everyone loves a pub and this place should be a winner. The owners run several pubs in downtown Boston so they come from a strong background of relative success in a tough business. Sadly, the lack of a good chef takes "Mr. Dooleys" at the knees. The place is well-decorated and cozy but that is where the good news... More

Great fish and chips and a nice selection of beers on tap. Lots of Irish pub specialties, and reasonable prices. Friendly staff, and place locals come and hang out.

There were 7 of us for dinner. Our server was a bit confused. It took her quite a while to get our drink order. The drinks came one by one and a few had to be sent back. Five of us got our dinners at the same time. The other two were served more than 10 minutes later . She... More

My husband and I stopped in for dinner before attending the South Shore Music Tent for the evening. Did not have to wait, although there were alot of people inside probably because of a wedding that would be going on across the street. An old style pub with burgers or fish and chips and other items. There is beer on... More

We stopped here for a bite to eat before going to the South Shore Music Circus. We did not have to wait as we chose to eat outdoors. The restaurant is small inside, but inviting. We decided to try the sampler which gave us three crocks of their Irish food; one was the beef stew, one was the cottage pie... More

This was a stop on the way to a concert at the Music Circus and was a great way to start te evening. Food and Drink were perfect. We'll be going back even with out a concert, from the North Shore.

Went here with a bud from Ireland and he said that of the pubs he's been to in Boston, this one reminds him most of what he'd find in his village. I found the food decent, but not overwhelmingly good.

We eat here regularly. The food is always changing and is very good. They offer something for everyone. My favorites are their salads and their curry chicken fries. How do you beat that? Has a full bar and lots of personality. In and out in a reasonable amount of time. I would recommend for both lunch and dinner.

I gave up on St. Patrick's Day years ago. Crowds and drunks have no appeal. But at Mr. Dooley's I felt the difference immediately when I walked in the door. The crowd was still enjoying the day at 9:30pm when I arrived. A woman with green shamrocks on her cheeks welcomed me to join her party - that was the... More
