So happy to be able to order a sandwich with gluten free bread. Nicely run, seating upstairs was very nice and a few couches. Lots of locals here, that's always a good sign. Newspapers and coffee, cookies.

Hanging around for two hours in Dennis with a four-year-old in the cold. The cafe provided the perfect solution with upstairs sofa and a little play-area and wonderful food. Perfect. Really friendly staff and being English, I was delighted to find earl grey on offer! 🏳️‍🌈

This place is quaint, with a wide variety of sandwiches. There seemed to be a lot of locals coming in for lunch, so it must be pretty good. We tried the ploughman and another sandwich that we can't remember the name of. The ploughman was pretty good, but what made us want to order it was the apple cheddar cheese... More

Great spot to pickup pastries or breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Stop by again for sandwiches for the beach. All fresh and well made. Favorite spot for a quick bite.

A pleasant spot for a quick breakfast sandwich or lunch. Very good coffee! There is a nice, large sitting area upstairs.

We had initially stopped at Scargo's across the street but decided we wanted a more casual lunch experience. We found The Merc and it was perfect for a light lunch. Fantastic deli sandwiches on great breads. Loved the seafood salad on sourdough bread, as well as the turkey and avocado option on rye bread. The iced coffee was flavorful. Had... More

Went in here to pick up a take out menu but was asked to leave because I was holding my little dog. Our intention was for a take out lunch anyway, so we went out to make our selections. The prices were reasonable. they make their own bread which was great. I ordered a corned beef with swiss & coleslaw.... More

This is not a fast food restaurant... the Merc is a place to savor and enjoy. This place has enjoyed a spot behind the Post Office in Dennis village for decades. Wonderful food, delightful staff and reasonable prices....terrific find! Bring in your own empty casserole and they will fill it with amazing fare to serve your guests after a day... More

Great soups and sandwiches, and good coffee. Local hangout that often has great local music. Yummy baked goods.
