We arrived at about 5.45pm on a Saturday evening. They were queuing at the door. As there were 8 of us we had phoned beforehand and were directed to a table. As some of our party had not arrived we ordered drinks. We had to wait a little time for our meal as we had not ordered straight away. The... More

Wanted some good home cooked food and this is definitely the best place for it. Extremely busy so got there for 12.30 and just got a table. Might be an idea to direct seating in Sundays as couples were sitting at tables made for 4 instead of at smaller tables.

Visited here before Christmas, The small car park was packed. Although it was busy we managed to get a table. They don't take reservations so you just have to hope for the best. The food was really good - just on thing I would say - the puddings were mostly ice cream based and in December that is not so... More

Well what can I say, absolutely fantastic food. We arrived at 7pm and it was packed so we had to wait about 30 minutes which was ok as we had a drink while waiting. When we were seated we browsed the menu which was a great choice of meals, my parents had the fillet steak my son had the ham... More

If you're looking for somewhere that offers a warm welcome in comfortable and traditional surroundings with a great drink selection and absolutely the tastiest food from a huge menu then this is the place for you. Food is served fresh and with a smile and at a decent price (the portions are plentiful too). The only downside is that it... More

I love it here, my missus asked me the other day, if I could only eat out at 1 place for the rest of my life where would it be? I less than a second I answered the Crown. I've gone through most of the menu, and everything is cooked perfectly, and with regards to the idiots on the poor... More

The Crown Inn is always welcoming and busy. The main courses are of generous proportion and varied, while the sweet menu can prove tempting! Beer conisseurs will enjoy the range of ales. There is an inglenook fire burning and a traditional decor which reflects the age of the building. The seating is limited and you cannot reserve a table in advance,... More
