Nice environment with wonderful food. Service was outstanding. View of the harbor was great at sunset.

We enjoyed the ambiance, service and some of the food. I liked the duck and crème brulee. The risotto that came with my duck was cold. My husband had the halibut and cheesecake. His fish was dry. We ordered three apps including the pasta special,...arancini and Brussels sprouts. The pasta was cold and too el dente. (We are fortunate enough to go to Italy, so we know what el dente means.) The bread and butter was good. I really wanted to like this meal better than I did. I’m not sure we will go back.More
Delicious food. Complimentary Bread/butter combo was delicious. Roasted Shrimp with pesto was very good. Orecchiette ordered in our group, and they enjoyed. Salmon and basmati rice was a winner too. Desserts were very rich, I think somewhat on pricy side $15/each for small portions. Good...assortment of drinks, enjoyed the blackberry and bourbon. Fun birthday celebration. Weather had us eat inside, but beautiful outside dining.More
Went to dinner here last night for an anniversary dinner. Service and drinks were great. Food was mediocre at best. With a limited menu, I expected the food to be worldly. Not so much. Started with the wings special. They were small, dry and clearly...overcooked. My wife had the bolognese and I had the chicken entree. The chicken was good but portions were small for the price. The bolognese lacked flavor and the noodles were overcooked. After communicating to the server, they comped the bolognese - which we didn’t expect but was a nice gesture. We won’t be back.More
Great fine dining establishment. Ate a very fine lunch of Mediterranean salad, bacon/sweet corn ravioli and mushroom risotto with grilled shrimp. Delicious.

We had read about "Alma Nove" for years and this week, we finally got there. It is an amazing restaurant .... and I rarely use those words to describe much of anything, to tell you the truth. But here, it is applicable. The ambiance both...in the dining room and on the outdoor patio is relaxed but elegant. The cocktails, the wines, the appetizers, the entrees and the desserts ... all first class and worth every cent of the cost. Our server (Marybeth) was exceptional. We could not have been more impressed and we will be back !More
Visited Alma Nove for lunch today. It was wonderful from start to finish. The hostesses were lovely. Both the indoor and outdoor seating areas were beautifully done. Since it was a beautiful day, we sat outside. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and had no...problem taking care of her tables. We started with the mussels which were absolutely delicious. For dinner I got the rice bowl with salmon which was very good. My husband and teen both got the fish sandwich which was plentiful, and although fried, was “light” . They both cleaned their plate. On top of the restaurant being wonderful it is in a cute little area if you wanted to walk around or spend some extra time. If in the area, I highly recommend, but I would recommend you make a reservation as well.More
My husband and I were in the area and we stopped by for lunch on a Friday. We were seated outside at a lovely table with a perfect view of the harbor. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. All of the outdoor tables were...filled on this beautiful day. I had the mussels which were excellent. The sauce had a wonderful taste which was probably one of the best I've had for mussels that wasn't filled with garlic. My husband had the soup of the day which he really enjoyed. The soup was nice and hot. He also had the fish sandwich was was great. We are looking forward to returning to this spot again!More
A very disappointing lunch yesterday. A gorgeous day to sit outside was quickly clouded by not only poor service but not so great food. We had reservations- seated promptly. Our server spent the bulk of the meal walking by shaking her head saying she was...so busy. I am ok with that except I am paying the same whether she is busy or not. All 4 of our meals were cool/ our soup didn't arrive and when I asked it finally arrived cold. Our coffee never arrived. The fish and chips were 2 tiny squares of fish placed on top of fries that I really think we're still frozen. The Mac and cheese was a generous serving. Not sure why folks were still being seated when the server could not address the tables who were seated for her attention. Again I understand staffing issues but no adjustment was made on our final bill This was a late lunch certainly not at the height of the dinner rush. I never saw a manager walk through the dining area. I would have brought it to his/her attention had that occurred.More
1st The ambiance is off putting, pretentious, "Chi-Chi". Except for the hostess, who is a natural genuine gracious human being. Nuovo riche people and service staff with this attitude are not enhancing the pace 2nd Our waitress, took the drink order; which arrived 10 minutes...later. ---Restaurant was not full, nor busy- she was caring for 5 tables, the norm. When we order appetizers, she asked : is this going to be your dinner?" How would we know if we like the food, and/or if our appetite will welcome a main course? 3rd Bread arrived with unsavory butter!! who likes or serves this? An amuse de Buche, will be gracious, no cold flavorless bread - enhance the butter flavor with honey, herbs, lemon zest.. something that indicates you care! Mussels' broth was delightful, but some of the mussels were old and not removed - we had to ask for a shell bowl and the proper utensil to eat them. The mussy, overcooked and flavorless Fall Risotto was a total disaster (had Gordon Ramsey been around he will have tossed across the floor! ) Ah! but since the waitress did not serve the food not check until we it was almost one third eaten -we could not send it back! nor were able to comment on this mess Nor did she notice that we were sharing the mussels, sat the risotto aside .. not eaten! Were we asked or suggested a wine for dinner?, were informed of a delicious dinner entrée? We were lectured, that we should have said something ,,, to whom the indifferent buy boy who served our meal? no floor manager was making rounds nor was about to be seen Server was very proud to informs us that the "pastry chef" was a former waiter and that we should try the dessert. HUGE mistake, the cake was made from a box, the mouse was hard as a rock..by the way "mouse melts in your mouth" one does not have to slice it!More
I was able to grab a day of reservation this past Saturday for my wife and I. We were driving in from Newport where we spent the day before heading back to Boston. We got a 8 pm dinner time. We arrived a little early...and just walked along the water. It started raining so we walked over to the restaurant and stood under the canopy. As I was just scrolling through my phone passing the time I saw chef Paul walk out the back door to the lot. We called out his name and he came right over to us to greet us. Extremely nice person! For dinner I had the beef stew dinner and my wife had a pasta bolognese. The meat was delicious. It just fell apart! The pre dinner bread with the sea salt butter is very good. It’s hard to not fill up on that! My wife is currently pregnant so she’s not drinking but did want a sprite so I figured I’d join her and get one too. They weren’t on our bill…not sure if soda usually isn’t charged for or what? Great atmosphere. The restaurant actually seems more elegant than it appeared on episodes of wahlburgers. I would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.More
My companion & I had a 2pm reservation outside. I have been here several times & have never been disappointed. I had pan seared scallops & shrimp w/butternut risotto & roasted squash. Delicious. My dining companion had fish & chips which you can get anywhere...but from this restaurant I had to agree that the fish filets were on the small & thin side & overcooked. Service was efficient & friendly.More
We ate here on a Wednesday evening with an 8pm reservation. The restaurant was not very crowded and servers were short staffed but still did a great job. Food is terrific, portions are reasonable. Restaurant is very nice inside.
A great lunch experience! Delicious food, wonderful service, pleasant atmosphere. Our server Ashley was professional, efficient, friendly. This was a busy lunchtime as folks often sit outside where we can enjoy the Harbor view. We were greeted warmly by the main hostess. Our food was...hot, served and presented with care. My burger was cooked as requested; the meat was very tasty and juicy. Fries were very tasty. The shrimp and scallop dish over risotto was scrumptious. The restroom was clean.More
