Service was super; food was awesome! Had surf and turf - prime rib and fried clams. This is one of the best surf and turfs I've had - very flavorful prime rib and a substantial portion, full belly clams were tasty. Food portions were generous and sides were all great including house made cole slaw, Butternut Squash - onion rings... More

Best Place in town for a casual family feed. Great specials. Small and intimate dinning room, or Seating in the bar area. Like Cheers in Ipswich.

Good food and specials. Plenty of dining tables. Choate is a very casual establishment who caters frequently to local residents.

Really nice lunch. Choate is a pub that reminds me of Europe. Excellent prices. There is a pub and a dining room with lots of seating. So enjoy a burger and a brew.

Stopped in for lunch. First time visit. Great menu with seafood and lunch specials. Excellent lamb tips. Fast waitress, low key dining room. Onion rings were excellent. Our party ordered burgers, cheese steak and blackened salmon salad. All went away impressed.. Craft beers and domestics on tap.

Choate Bridge is very much a townie institution, a corner pub on the busiest intersection in Ipswich with no pretensions. It's split into two rooms: the bar, a very long winding bar, that also includes a number of tables for four near windows, then the dining room that is quieter and more family friendly. Waitresses are nimble, friendly and quick... More

One of my favorite pubs, the service is friendly and quick. Full disclosure: I have been coming here for years (actually decades). It is not a fancy place, but offers a fun local atmosphere. The bar is large and usually busy. The beer is cold, cocktails plentiful. The menu is on your (paper) place mat, and there are always specials... More

We visited the Choate Bridge Restaurant after exploring a corn maze in Ipswich. We arrived during the busy part of lunch, but we are able to find a table. It's first come, first served, so you need to look around for a place to sit. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She provided great service and checked on us often,... More

Met a friend here for lunch and was not disappointed. Great rustic charm and pub atmosphere. Good size bar and tables around and a few big screen tvs. Service was friendly and efficient. Friend had a burger which was huge and one of his favorites. I had great Fish & Chips. We also split a fried clam appetizer that could... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch while passing through Ipswich. I had the clams, based on all the TripAdvisor reviews. The other reviews are accurate - the portion was huge! The clams themselves were ok, but perhaps a little overdone. The restaurant has two rooms - the larger is basically the bar with a few tables around the... More
