Special treat on Fridays: a loaf of bread to compliment a family meal or margarita pizza if too pooped to cook. Can't go wrong! Both tremendous!

We stopped at this wonderful bakery thanks to a suggestion. What a wonderful place!!! Half of the room is occupied by this huge wooden oven that bakes bread, cookies and pizza. They have a bread schedule that changes everyday. We were there on Thursday and we bought a country bread and one with amaranth and some berries I can't remember... More
On Wed., Thursday, Fri and Sat....they have special pizzas. Call. You cannot do better anywhere and I've eaten pizza in 100 countries.
Amazing bread and pastries. We stopped on a whim in November, and when we opened the door, we were greeted by friendly faces and incredible aromas. Highly recommend the bread, and the apple galette was beyond incredible.
The real deal for naturally leavened bread and pastries!! Jonathan and the crew are awesome. The bakery surrounds the awe inspiring Llopis oven and only amazing things come from that hearth. You can't go to Noho and not pick up a loaf: Jonathan is doing amazing things with bread. Bran starters, local flours...all the right stuff. The night crew makes... More
Hungry Ghost has some of the best bread in town, but don't go for the service -- it will be bizarre and weird -- but that's part of the fun. Any of the breads will be fantastic, and just about anything else you try will be also. The rugalach are excellent.
Baked fresh every day. The pizza is amazing, although you need to put in an order early in the day. Everything baked at Hungry Ghost is delicious!!

We moved to Northampton just about a year ago, and we've been regular bread customers. Since we've been here, I've been looking for really great take-out pizza. Having grown up in suburban NYC, my standards are... More
Best bakery in the region for real sourdough based breads. They obviously love what they do. Well worth the visit. This is not really a restaurant, but is a bakery.
