When in Massachusetts, I never miss an opportunity to have dinner at one of the restaurants that make up the chain, Legal Seafoods. They are all well managed, and share the same excellent menu. For me the main draw is oysters in the half-shell. The oysters available in the Virgin Islands, appear to have attended Weight Watchers, and are ready... More

You know for a chair restaurant this place never disappoints me. The fish is fresh and the service is good. The chowder and rolls are spectacular. The entrées are superb. The new look is good and 3x bigger I do miss the linens on the table. Tip Reserve a table

They were closed for eight weeks this summer for a complete redecoration, and the dining room looks great. As always at Legal, the food was delicious. We all had the shrimp casserole special, and shared a key lime pie for dessert. The wines we had by the glass paired well. A delightful lunch!

I have eaten at this chain since their first restaurant in Cambridge and I still enjoy them very much, at all their locations. I go for the fried seafood which is usually crispy and not greasy, especially the whole belly clams. Their lobster bisque is also a top item, made the correct way (not chunky, just creamy with a pinch... More

Im loving this new facelift of an old favorite. This restaurant is gorgeous inside so comfortable and the service is superior without be intrusive. I ordered the fried scallops and they melted in my mouth. The batter was so light and flakey and the coleslaw was fresh and had a great crunch to it. my husband had the seafood casserole... More

Legal will always have the ambiance and the friendly staff - the clam chowder is my favorite and delicious. I had the fisherman's platter and found it to be a little disappointing. It lacks imagination from a presentation perspective and it's a lot of deep fried fish. Tasty but you can't finish because everything just seems to have the same... More

My husband and I wanted to have a nice dinner the last night of our vacation, and we are so glad we chose this restaurant. We enjoyed our fresh fish (Wild Alaska Salmon and Swordfish) and sides. Excellent and friendly service. My husband said it was the best swordfish he had ever had. My salmon was also very tender and... More

The clam chowder was as always, amazing. I had the Secretary of Steak (blackened Tuna) and it was great. My friends found their choices very regular, even disappointing.

Legal sea foods was our first stop on our trip to the Boston area and it didn't disappoint. Coming from Texas we had heard so much about the famous New England lobster rolls but never had one. The lobster rolls here (as well as the crab roll) are great! Seriously, there had to be at least a pound of meat... More

On my own in North Shore Mall when visiting my daughter locally. Had been recommended here by daughters partner. Clam chowder one of the best I have had. Noted the menu said it was on menu at presidential inauguration! Also enjoyed starter sized "Rhode Island Stuffie" - a stuffed clam shell which was very tasty. Felt was good value for... More
