A little waiting was necessary till we could finally seat, but it was a pleasure to enjoy a not-to-miss bloody mary meanwhile. Not only the losbter is a good choice in this great restaurant. Fish and oysters were supreme as well! A positive point was that the waiter kindly accepted to change my meal into another one with no questioning...the... More

Just be careful when visiting here, the staff can be hit and miss and the food can be the same. All we ask for is consistency when visiting an eatery however this place falls short. We visited for lunch and dinner, lunch spot on dinner oh my goodness something went wrong for dinner, think the staff needed a siesta and... More

We were in Provincetown right at the far end of Cape Cod way out of seaon. Provincetown is a tourist trap - so out of season it's dead and we didn't have much choice over lunch. This isn't a great restaurant, neither is it especially good value - but the service was super friendly and they produced a lobster and... More

We needed to eat lunch between whale watching and our dune tour. We found the Lobster Pot on Commercial Street. It was a good find. The restaurant was packed, but the waitstaff found us a place at the bar. We didn't get the view of the bay that those in the dining room had, but the food was the same... More

As soon as you enter you realize this is the typical tourist trap. The food is just ok and if not because of the lobster, it would be a total failure. Unrefined dishes, a menu without structure, poor wine selection. And expensive. However, the service is great and they make you feel at home.

Thanks for your review...we appreciate all "feedback" and we understand we cannot satisfy all of the people all of the time. Yes, we are in a tourist town, BUT by no means "trap" any of our customers. Our over 35yrs in business owned and operated by the McNulty family combined with our excellent reviews and our standing in this great... More

Wonderful place in the heart of Provincetown. Clam roll was great--done just right and not an overwhelming amount of food. Clam chowder was good but have had better. My wife had the Portuguese soup that was truly superb. Excellent location on Commercial St but right on the beach. A must when you're visiting this great little town

Today we were a big party from Spain. The place was crowded but the kitchen and waiters are pretty quick. Our table had ocean view. Typical food place with a not extended menu but very selective meals. We have started with prawns, salad and pasta with success. Tuna tataki bbq smoked was splendid and the salmon bit stingy. Crispy fried... More

The Lobster Pot restaurant is an institution in Provincetown, and you can see that by its great old neon sign. The seafood dishes are as fresh as fresh can be, and deliciously prepared. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is almost always buzzing. Sit upstairs for a nice waterfront view, or downstairs for a cozier experience. The... More

I had two lobster-based appetizers, both were just OK and definitely overpriced for the taste. The staff allowed me to change my seat to one closer to the window so I could better view the water. Service was fast and friendly.
