I enjoyed the evening recently when a friend and I had apps and drinks at Nancy's Airfield Cafe. The food was OK--nothing great but it was more than made up for by the excellent server and good drinks. Nancy's is a quirky little place worth a visit, and I will explore the menu more rigorously when I visit again.

I must say this was about 5 years ago so things may have changed but we drove a good 40 minutes with the kids because we heard about this place and thought the kids would love to see the planes while we ate breakfast - WRONG. If you have kids you have to sit upfront where the planes are not... More

We've heard for years about the fare at this restaurant. Our first visit should have been the indicator, items on the menu that the cook could not prepare. First visit saved only by the offer of a slice of pie. Second visit...tried the initial order for Chicken Cordon Bleu...it's on the menu. We asked specifically if the cook this visit... More

Yes! Really! Just a few feet from small private planes taking off and landing at a country air field. And the food is excellent! Right now one of their appetizers is mussels in curry sauce. I have eaten lots of mussels, prepared lots of ways, but none as good as these. The curry sauce is just perfect!

"Nancy" is chef and proprietor of this great little cafe. Her food has an interesting blend of flavors acquired from her extensive travels throughout the world. We had dinner on a Saturday evening, overlooking the runway of Stow airport where the restaurant is located. Our dinners were very tasty. We had the cod dinner which was excellent. Locally grown ingredients... More

A simple search for nearby restaurants as we continued on our New England road trip led us to Nancys Air Field Cafe , a little off the main road but dont let that stop you ! What a sweet place right on the airstrip , which of course provided its own delightful entertainment.. if you enjoy all things "flight" related... More

Attended this rather disappointing night. Pros: The special kale pizza was great. Cons: Being accosted with a "voluntary" entrance fee Plastic chairs and tables on a parking lot with blaring rock music. Ugh. Bellowing servers who scream at the top of their lungs the order numbers. Food came out mismatched. Hamburger done 5 mins before pizza. When we finally got... More

Had the best eggs Benedict there. Busy, so you might have to wait a little, but totally worth it. Wide selection on the menu and it's all very, very good. Recommend it to anyone. Take relatives and visitors there.

Off the main road at the local small airport, the setting is very pleasant with gardens outside the front door. Staff is welcoming and service is good. I wish the food had been a bit better. My salad came with Gorgonzola cheese, walnuts and nothing else. Pretty basic and on the small side. My friend's omelet was good, but the... More

Always had a very good breakfst and lunch there so we decided to try the dinners. Nice menu made it easy to choose from. The food was excellent, the service was great and even Nancy stopped by to say hello. Also fun to watch planes take of and land.

Description
Chef/Proprietor Nancy McPherson has created a rare Cafe ~ a peaceful Oasis that beckons the harried with hospitable staff that welcomes you and cooking that makes you want to come back for more.

Large picture windows offer panoramic views of air field activity, birds feeding and flower gardens while the rotating display of local artists’ work freshens the ‘Main Deck’ dining room.

Sourcing ingredients locally whenever possible, Nancy puts her touch to familiar classics as well as international and seasonal dishes. Most of her offerings include fresh herbs plucked from the kitchen garden by the door. Pestos and oils extend Cafe herb use into the winter.
