The seafood here is very fresh as they own the fish market that is attached. I loved the chowder. It was the first time I have ever tried striped bass. It was grilled and frankly I didn't like it. Not the restaurants fault though just my taste. The sides as mentioned by another reviewer are not very desirable but they... More

Never again! Not only did I likely get sick from tainted chowder but the service was terrible. This well known seafood business has been over rated for years here in Wellesley.

Good fish and dishes for very reasonable prices. They need to step it up with their side dishes and update these dishes. The side dishes are very limited... especially on the fresh vegetable side. Vegetable de jour is about it... and if you don't care for that... lettuce & tomato - not salad - just what looks like it belongs... More

On our annual visit to this area I make it a point to come here with a friend who is a local and a regular customer here. When you are seated they serve each one a large square of the best cornbread I have ever eaten. This time I had the salmon pattie which was great. I get something different... More

Local "staple" in Wellesley. Service is decent - nothing to write home about. Food quality is also decent. It's one of those places that you can't go wrong with but there is nothing exciting about it either.

50 years is a long time to love Capt.Mardens reputation for very fine fish...Many Restaurant serve proudly Captain Mardens Fish. So you might expect the same Kettle of Fish in the Take away Restaurant. If you go there often, you might wonder, where did it all go...You might even ask and you will be assured..it is still here...the good thing... More

Friendly service, bright decor, positive vibe, but only mediocre good options. Prices were reasonable enough, but the delay on a Sunday morning was not quite worth the wait.

Get over that always all the fish in the Takeaway will be the same as in the retail..Old style fried food with the coating of flavored crumb mixture, being the old style...cafeteria style. You can request a certain fish from the retail and they will cook it for you.Like Fresh Trout.Or Cod Loin. I do like going there and do often...Sometimes... More

The restaurant is very clean. The food is freshly prepared. There is free parking easy to find. Food portions are generous. The waitstaff is efficient and professional.

Excellent breakfast but best known for their superior fish. Take out or eat in no bar service but you can bring your own wine
