I only gave 1 star because I had to give a star in order to leave a review. The food isn't good at all. The service is awful. The place is extremely outdated. We had the worst waitress of all time. When we ordered there wasn't many people in the restaurant. People slowly came in and were seated after us.... More

Maugus is our "go to" place for breakfast and sometimes lunch on the weekends (they close at 2:30 or 3:00 depending on the day of the week). Fairly quick service, family owned and operated. They have homemade soups (including lentil) and homemade greek food (spinach pie, etc.). They serve breakfast all day which is a bonus if you like breakfast.... More

Hunkering down for the storm later today, figured getting out for lunch or dinner might be difficult so we grabbed a quick b'fast. Good banana pancakes and bacon and poached eggs. Service is a bit perfunctory but the food is fine and the prices are good.

We went there for Sunday brunch. The place is centrally located in Wellesley. We ordered omelette and pancakes. Both were very good and we enjoyed our Sunday brunch. The service is good and this is a hidden breakfast gem in the area. The place is always crowded during the weekend.

The Greek omelette was fluffy and tastie. The blueberry pancakes were a work of art! The waiter was really nice too!

Worlds best turkey club sandwich, breakfast, egg lemon soup, burgers and so much more. Turkey is roasted and cut each and every day. Atmosphere is warm, friendly, and consistent. Owners of the Red Sox eat here as they know great value.

We went for breakfast and totally enjoyed the food, service and cleanliness along with the convenience of free parking right behind the restaurant. Blueberry pancakes were very good as were the home fries ( different and garlicky). My partner like the mushroom omelet that she ordered. We would happily return to Maugus for breakfast or lunch.

The Maugus has been in the same spot since at least the 60's. Looks pretty much the same. Great for breakfast or lunch. Old fashioned booths bring you back to your kid days. Great food, prepared quickly, excellent value. Home town atmosphere. They should shoot a movie scene in the Maugus.

The menu included a nice variety of choices. The varied selections were all served in generous sizes and were prepared just right, served hot and were great tasting. Staff was quick, thorough, helpful and friendly. Superb! We will be back often.
