The restaurant was VERY close to my motel. It's in a small building and has a "Mom and Pop" vibe. It was quite busy at 11a.m. on a Sunday morning but the server came to my table quickly, took my request for hot water(for my own tea) and brought it promptly. She was friendly. The menu is extensive for a... More

Good selection of tasty food, friendly service and at reasonable prices. We visit the area twice a year and always stop for breakfast. We frequently have a few small children with us and the waitstaff is friendly and understanding.

The first 6 people I asked in Williamstown said the Chef's Hat is the best breakfast place in town. And it opens at 5AM for the early birds.

We had breakfast here two days and it was great: good quality, fast and very generous. It is on the 7 close to Williamstown.

I ordered a plate of pancakes and a cup of coffee. The check was around $10. The pancakes were hard and bitter tasting. The coffee was not too good. At these prices, I would expect a portion of maple syrup, pancakes worth writing home about, and a perfect cup of coffee. The waitress was friendly. At first sight, the place... More

Ate here while visiting our student at Williams College. Good breakfasts with some nice twists (Turnip/carrot muffins) Service with a smile and hot coffee was flowing freely which is what I need early in the morning! Simple, quick, good food, and you're off to the next function!

Chef's hat on merrick road in Bellmore is a wonderful find. The owners will make anything anyway you want it. A rare treat in today's busy world to find nice people running a nice place to eat.

We decided to breakfast here on the basis of the many excellent reviews but were disappointed with what we can only describe as a very average omelet (the Farmers) and coffee. We wouldn't return although the service we received was fine and clearly from the number of other diners there it is a popular restaurant.

Great place for breakfast or sandwiches. Always busy there but closes in midafternoon. The locals love it. Nice people too.

We had a great Sunday breakfast at the Chef's Hat. Very friendly service and good hearty meals. It looked like a lot of the customers were regulars, but we out-of-towners were treated very well! Omelets and eggs were delicious as was the side order of ham.
