This little diner is hidden away off the main roads, but as a family who LOVES home-style breakfasts, we decided to take a chance. We should have stayed on the main drag. The service was mediocre, the portions small and the food overpriced. Plus, we were freezing all through the meal. It was very disappointing.

Great hidden gem both for breakfast or dinner! Been there several times, and every time the food has been good as well as the service. Not really a diner, more of a nice restaurant.

I visited the Swanton Street Diner on a Sunday morning for breakfast. I had read about the lines in previous reviews, but was pleasantly surprised to be seated promptly. Unfortunately, it seemed that there was only one gentleman on the waitstaff that morning. Though he was very pleasant, the service was not overly quick, and he seemed to be running... More

This popular local tradition serves more than breakfast, but it's the breakfasts that have drawn us here. Today, I had the Greek omelet, which was excellent. The eggs were light, and the combination of fresh spinach, tomato chunks, feta, and Kalamata olives was perfect. The only mild negative is that the coffee was on the weak side, though it was... Two of us decided to have a nice dinner at the Swanton Street Diner. It doesn't look too impressive from the outside, but we were welcomed by a very friendly waitress who promptly seated us. Quite honestly, she was one of the most cheerful and helpful waitresses we've ever had. We both had soup for dinner. I had the soup... More

I was looking for a place to take my elderly mother for lunch. I wouldn't ordinarily order seafood at a diner but did so upon the waitress' recommendation. It was fresh and well prepared. The atmosphere wasn't anything special but the place was neat, clean and the waitstaff attentive and friendly.

You could not pay attention of this restaurant from outside but it worths to enter and try it. The service was fast and courteous, and atmosphere was pleasant and relax. Most important, meals were excellent and tasty. We chose seafoods risotto and ribs. Make sure you have a good appetite because portions are copious. Foods were fresh, especially seafoods, and... The staff and food can't be beat - great comfort food and classic small town family atmosphere! Our family loves it and feels like part of their family at this point. Would highly recommend home-made lobster bisque and clam chowder as well as buffalo chicken salad - always fresh and yummy.

This place is nothing much to look at, but it's clean and bright, and the food is great. Basic American diner with no pretense. The service is pleasant and unhurried. I was there twice for breakfast, but I'm sure lunch and dinner are great, too.

Swanton Street Diner has your basic menu. Steaktips, burgers, meatloaf, all of your favorite comfort foods. They also have a beer and wine license and a small bar overlooking the kitchen with a t.v. I love having breakfast there. Going out for breakfast is always a fun family treat! Service is always friendly and quick : )
