I was sorry to hear this restaurant had closed. Partially because it is the only Armenian restaurant in Worcester and the food was excellent. It will be missed.

I've never been to Shiraz prior to this visit. Friends said the food is good, service is great and the prices are reasonable. They were right on all accounts. On a Saturday night and it wasn't loud and crowded as many other restaurants. Will definitely be back.

This was our third time at Shiraz & we have never been disappointed. We had two of the specials, stuffed pepper and pumpkin kibbe. Both came with rice and a salad. We also had two beers, a soda & a dessert. Our bill, including tax was $38. We would go back.

On March 17, 2015 we again dined at Shiraz after the owner recommended we try their Spring Lamb which promised to be better than usual. We ordered the Lamb Shish Kabob and were served the worst lamb kabobs ever. The meat was stringy, tough and undercooked. The wait staff had these smirky knowing looks as if they knew this lamb... Be prepared for some authentic Middle Eastern food when you visit Shiraz. Don't be set back by the casual seating atmosphere but put on your bib and dig in. Jack and staff have never compromised their authentic Armenian recipes to suit American tastes and the volume of people there resonates why. You won't get linen or a tablecloth at all... More

We ate here after a bad experience at a bad Mediterranean restaurant down the road. The atmosphere needs improvement , but the food was fresh and good... the hummus was very good!

Shiraz is our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant in the Worcester area because of its good food and service, reasonable prices, and good vibes. As some reviewers have mentioned, lunch is the best time to go, if only because of the many regulars who help make Shiraz feel a little like home, even if you are not Armenian (which this reviewer... My favorite time for Shiraz is lunch time. Their lunch menu has a lot of really great sandwiches that they don't have during dinner time. My favorite is the eggplant and roasted red pepper with the hummus. My friend loves their eggplant salad. I love their hummus and grape leaves. The food is consistent. The staff is friendly (but can... More
