Commonwealth is always my go to for lunch in Birmingham. The "C" latte is the best. Great selection of healthy lunch options and great environment. It can be a bit pricey, however, But still a favorite.

Always busy from mothers with strollers to business meetings . Inventive menu - good for coffee, breakfast or lunch. Line to order can be long but with the expansion it moves right along.

I thought this place was fantastic when it first opened and glad it expanded but, the last few times, I have just not been that impressed. The breakfast burrito was my favorite (the salad and all) but, now it is largely flavorless and $4 for chorizo?? I could barely see it in the burrito. Unique menu / cool place /... More

We found that on an average weekday Commonwealth Cafe is busy and yet maintains a pleasant configuration with the newly added space and seating. Due to the lengthy dine-in line we decided to order take-out: the © Latte and the Goat Cheese Quiche. While the latte and the quiche were very good (the quiche was shaped in a square, and... More

I've met clients here three times now, and it's a nice change from the ubiquitous and NOISY starbucks. Attentive staff, nice ambiance. I haven't eaten anything but it looks good.

Tried this place for the first time for brunch and was pretty pleased. It was a busy Sunday and the only negative to ,e was the ordering and seating process. There are no server, you order and then the food is brought out. Also, we we couldn't reserve a table until our food was ready. If there were many open... More

Just a quick, post-lunch stop for a latte and chai tea latte. Order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. Everything was excellent tasting and well presented.

My friend and I both ordered coffee and shared the avocado toast. Don't get me wrong- the toast was delightful, but WAY TOO expensive for toast.

When people come to visit metro Detroit, this is where I recommend for brunch if they are looking for somewhere without alcohol. Some of the best coffee and brunch dishes around. Salads are expertly dressed. I recommend the quiches and omelets, as well as the pancakes and waffles. Also the sweet potato hash. I haven't been disappointed as of yet... More

I am not a coffee drinker. Family who are have taken me here. But the food alone is worth it. The lemony dressing on the arugula salad had a three year old stealing it off of someone else's plate in our group. The egg sandwich and beans and egg are also delicious. The pastries have been outstanding, not sure if... More
