Super friendly waitress, she had so much information about the area. The atmosphere ,was excellent. The special of the evening was: white fish with a choice of three deserts. We chose the Strawberry shortcake--enough for three people.Fish cooked to perfection and a side of creamy homemade dip.

I got the hamburger it was good, I tried the hot beef sandwich, the potatoes were real, the beef was excellent, didn't care for the gravy. Tried the strawberry short cake that was good. Plenty of items to choose from. Good service.

The food was great, and the service and atmosphere was good. I have been to this restaurant many times, and I am looking forward to going back.

Wanted to check out new scenery and see the lake. Hadn't any idea what places there were to eat. Came across this and the outside just seemed cozy and inviting. And it WAS !! Excellent service !! Reasonable prices; Sat by the window and watched the skiers down Boyne Mountain. Nice menu for lunch; next time will have to try... More

Had breakfast there on 3/5 with the family. Not a good value...the food was quite pricey ( ex. $10 for a 2-egg omlette, $2.35 for a cup of "coffee", $6 for two pancakes...) and the quality of the food was not very good, sorry to say, a terrible value. All of the ingredients were clearly not premium (not matching the... More

The Mountainside Grille provided an excellent experience for my wife, four children and I! To start the service was excellent and catered to our six person family effortlessly. The food was outstanding as well as fairly priced (unlike the sell a kidney prices at near-by Boyne Mountain). But our favorite part about the Mountainside was the authentic "up north" style... My husband and I stopped here for lunch. We had the perogies and a phillychaser with sweet potato fries. The perogies were amazing and the phillychaser was cooked perfectly for us. The waitress was friendly and service was quick even though the restaurant was busy. We seated ourselves and the waitress was with us within a minute of sitting down.... More

The "For Sale by Owner " sign should have tipped us off. Service was horrible, with the wait staff having to call the owner to find the basics for making a simple drink. The food was frozen reheated. My daughter had the shrimp basket. The shrimp had not been deveined which is disgusting. The bartender was upset to have been... More

Well... if you like your bloody Mary's to taste like shrimp cocktail sauce and your Ruben's to be almost non existent of corn beef! This is the place for you! Also you might want to bring olives and lemons if you want them for your drinks and fish!

I had a chicken pasty which is chicken wrapped in a dough "pocket" and oven broiled. Basic food for minors in the UP area (upper peninsula) Norwegian
