A Ameer has a very friendly and open atmosphere. They serve many middle eastern dishes that taste great and filled with flavors. The hummus is creamy yet thick herbs and spices. They grill their Chops to Perfection. Freshly made baklava dripping with honey.

We were a big group and shared large platters. Everything was very tasty. Also, we had the juice even though it didn't really go with the heavy meal - it was great.

This is not a fancy middle eastern dining experience, which is nice if you're just driving though Dearborn looking for a substantial lunch. We really enjoyed our experience at Al-Ameer! Ordered a small baba ghanoush and cucumber yogurt, shawarma plate and a tomato kebbeh (cracked wheat, tomato, and spices.) The kebbeh was fresh and really nice with the baba ghanoush... More

I have never had a bad experience at Al Ameer. The bread is always fresh out of the oven and the rice is legit the best I have had at any middle eastern place. The Shawarama is what i go for and it is AMAZING. It's always hot and cooked to perfection. You leave hear feeling full and happy.

We were looking for Middle Eastern food and found this restaurant during our search, we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the portions were huge. Nice staff and ok prices. We would definitely go back for our other choices.

Stopped here for lunch while touring around the Detroit area. Couldn't decide in advance between Hamido or Al Ameer based on Trip Advisor reviews but ended up here and very happy with it! I agree with many of the prior reviews about the excellent food - it was delicious! Falafel, chicken shwarma, lentil soup, fatoush - each dish was excellent.... More

Absolutely amazing. Al Ameer was one of the few remaining Middle Eastern eateries on my list. The food is phenomenal and very classic. The servers are friendly and very attentive.
