My recent visit to Mudgies helped remind me that restaurants can be like the shifting sands of a beach. During my most recent visit I was disappointed to find the food quality, service and Management awareness has shifted from a unique, inviting and a "Go To Place" to a place of last resort. Although not the end of the world,... More

(I'd rate this 3.5 if I could.) We really enjoyed lunch at Mudgies over Thanksgiving weekend. An interesting selection of food and drinks, and a cozy, cool atmosphere. If there's a wait, you can wait outside on a patio in front of a fireplace. There was a wait for us, so we grabbed seats at the bar. We enjoyed sandwiches... More

We went there for Sunday brunch with our 12 months old daughter after finding Mudgie's in a list of places recommended for brunch and we were not disappointed. Roger, our waiter, was super friendly and helpful. Our food was lovely - great portion and very tasty. The dining room is comfortable. We got there early but it got quite busy... More

A fantastic place to visit after a walking tour of Corktown. Mudgie's has a great atmosphere- both inside and out. I celebrated my birthday there and it was friendly for a plant based eater of 30 plus years! Awesome!

I came here during my lunch break. I ordered the Reuben with corned beef and it was decent. It was extremely hot, making me sweat when I eat whilst burning my mouth. Hot as in high temperature, not spicy (though it was a bit spicy). In addition, the wait for the food was long, about 20 minutes, which is understandable... More

Awesome deli! Great food, Full bar. Excellent service. My girlfriend ran by this place during the Detroit marathon, She said it smelled so good, that we had to go for lunch. It was as good as it smelled!

We had lunch at Mudgie's yesterday after having seen Brian Wilson at the iconic Fox Theater the night before. Mudgie's has really good reviews and they are mostly deserved. There were three of us: I had a sandwich on the specials sheet - a double smoked ham the was quite good but a little on the skimpy side with the... More

When everyone at the table (there were four of us) thinks that his/her order was the best, you know that you are in a good restaurant. The two soups that they offered that day: beer/cheese soup and lentil soup were both excellent. The sandwiches were big but filled with nice flavors. The wines and beers lists were extensive and the... More

This is by far my favorite place in Detroit. The food and service is amazing! They have an awesome lobster roll that doesn't last very long. But the lobster is to die for!
