If you enjoy nautical activity, but have an apprehension of sea-sickness,the"Detroit Princess"riverboat is the way for you!!! The ride is so smooth, that in tandem with the curtained dining room windows,I kept FORGETTING that I was even ON a boat navigating the Detroit River!!! Had I not specifically remember boarding a vessel on New Years Eve,after shaking the snow off of my... More

Thought this would be a nice evening cruise with some description of what we would be seeing along the Detroit River. Nope. After waiting 15 minutes past departure time while high heeled individuals randomly tottered down the sidewalk screeching that they were missing the boat, we finally left. Since we chose to not pay $55 a person for the all-inclusive... More

Food was very good. Bar service not so good. Trip boring went up and down river. Weather was nice and trip was relaxing but not worth the price.

We enjoyed the Motown band who were talented and engaging, especially their Manager Steve! We had a great time dancing since they also play current hits outside of the Motown era. The view outside on the deck was beautiful on a summer night! Drinks were basic and adequate but the food at the buffet was inedible! I suggest eating before... More

We went on the Motown dinner cruise and had a great evening. The band was fabulous, singing all our old favorites with great enthusiasm. There was a party on another deck with a bachelorette group doing the Cuban Shuffle with a hilarious DJ and sound system. The sun was setting on the glistening waters and the buffet was outstanding. The... More

My husbands company booked the office party on the Princess. Sadly, the weather was cold, windy and a bit rainy so we couldn't enjoy the view but the food and staff were wonderful.

Went on a business trip and this cruise was part of our after hours mixer. Very old ship with history of downtown. Enjoyed the cruise and all the sites along the way. The ship needs some updating or just a good bath on the inside as it was a little musky. The ballroom was not level so you stood a... More

My wife and I just had a cruise on the Detroit princess and the overall experience was really exceptional! We parked right next to the ship. Everyone was extremely friendly! Both cruise captain and first mate were first rate and the weather was beautiful. Cruising the Detroit river was very fun. The Motown review was great and my wife and... More

On Saturday, October 19th, I spend 6hours on the Princess boat for the wedding of two of our closes friends. The wedding was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating but the restroom situation was another story. I found the restrooms to be in poor maintenance with some toilets out of order. I believe it to be very important for... More
