We enjoyed our salads with salmon and chicken very much. Fresh ingredients and fairly sized for the price. Drinks were generous, and our server was friendly and attentive. Don't just visit on St. Patrick's Day, as the potatoe soup should be enjoyed more often.

We ordered the Shepard's Pie and the Salmon Salad. All the food was very, very tasty. Our server was a little curt and brisk, but she did warm up to us slightly before we left. Even though that was a little disappointing, we would certainly...More

Came in on a Sunday night, our first time at John Crowley. Should have left when it took 15 minutes for someone to show up at the table with menus. The food wasn't seasoned at all, everything just tasted like old fryer grease. We had...More

An interesting Irish restaurant in downtown Farmington. There's often live music although it may be more rock than Celtic. Food is good. Lots of drink choices. Small amount of outdoor seating in warm weather.

I'm a foodie. I love trying places multiple times to get a good grasp of them. I gave this place a try three times, all on Tuesday night, which I guess is the night they have trivia. 1. The food is overpriced for the amount...More

The bread on the sandwich I had was not very fresh and it is not a very friendly place, compared to several of the other downtown Farmington restaurants.

While attending Farmington Founders Festival we were looking for a place to get dinner. Went into Cowleys and had a great burger, and quick and friendly service even though they were busy.

Established in 1972 John and Marie Cowley opened a small classic Irish pub in Farmington, Michigan in 1972. This traditional watering hole became a cornerstone in the Farmington community.

In early 2002, the second generation of Cowleys stepped in to build upon the foundation that was laid down by John and Marie. The old pub was torn down and a new beautiful two story building was constructed.

Fast forward 8 years of giving the Metro Detroit area a consistent dose of Irish hospitality, the third generation of Cowleys have come home to help expand John and Marie's legacy. Brendan Cowley and his wife Amy Cowley are now driving the business into the future. Both are graduates of one of the best culinary schools in the world, The Culinary Institute of America, and are using their training and experience to bring a new vision to John Cowley and Sons.

As Brendan has put it, "Our mission, is to provide a pub with a warm and inviting atmosphere that serves high quality, unpretentious food and drink."
