Don't have many authentic Chinese restaurants here in Metro Detroit. Hong Hua is not on bar with those in Chinese concentrate locations like Toronto or New York. But comparing within Metro Detroit it's okay. I like their roast duck & lobster. Services were poor from front door receptionist to table server. From the time we walk-in. Met a stone-face (NO... The menu has grown to include many American versions of food. I miss some of the authentic foods. My brother in law the foodie loved the Peking duck and it was fun to watch the server slice and dice the bird to edible portions. My husband always orders the beautifully presented and ornate birds nest shrimp dish. Servings are generous. The... More

We recently celebrated a special occasion at Hong Hua and to be honest, weren't sure what to expect when we made the reservation! The restaurant itself is comfortable and not stuffy, patrons were overall dressed business casual, but there were certainly exceptions. Our waiter was efficient, but not terribly personable, and there were some language barriers, particularly when ordering from... More

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. In a small town area, north of Detroit, it beat my expectations. The food, staff, decor, and pricing were all very good. While more "American" oriented than some places, it still provides a very good example of Chinese food. We ate here at an off hour, so crowd was small, but it appears to... More

The portion was very small, spring roll tasted bad, they did not put spoons or forks there. Bottom line, food is not worth the money

Always a great, delicious, quality meal. Service is great but go early, the place gets super busy and waits can be long, even for carry-out.

This is THE place to go for Chinese food. Everything is delicious. Make a reservation.. People were still waiting in line at 8 pm on a weekday.

Great selection of dishes and not just the usual Chinese standbys. Flavors are delicate. Fish dishes are perfectly cooked - moist but cooked through. Busy - do reserve. A bit of a language problem with some of the servers.
