Dropped in for a quick bite. Had iced tea, a bacon cheeseburger and fries and a side salad. $23 before tip. The burger and fries was $13. Fries equaled Burger King. The $5.00 SMALL side salad equalled a Mickey D's salad. I don't mind paying...More

Food was very bland. Shepherds pie was mashed potatoes on top of unseasoned ground beef. No flavor, and luke warm. Fish and chips bland. Irish stew only served on Thursday??? That's about it for "traditional pub food". Menu is very limited. Good crowd watching college...More

Ate dinner there with friends. Prime location downtown. Sat outside. Menu was small and disappointing. 3 "irish" dishes. Plenty of fried foods and empty calories. Had a tomatoe mozarella salad (no basil). Boring. Even the chips and salsa were disappointing!

Gravitated here during Art Prize, because there was a venue sign outside. Sorry to say, there was a reason they weren't crowded despite a terrific location near many of the art destinations. My friend said her Reuben corned beef sandwich was excellent, but I can't...More

Dropped in during Art Prize for a late lunch - not crowded at all. Menu didn't grab me - ended up with the chicken tenders appetizer and they were very bland. No seasoning at all. Husband really liked the cheese soup. Wish they had put...More

Went during Artprize, and yes they were busy. But our server got our drinks and kept us aprized of how the sandwiches were coming. It took about 30 minutes to get our food, but the quality was excellent. We had the classic burger and the...More

We visited the bar for dinner during our stay in Grand Rapids. It was very clean and well appointed. The staff was very eager and more than helpful to discuss and tell us about the different offerings for dinner and from the bar. The shepherds...More

One of our favourite things to-do when traveling is to find a local Irish pub. Flanagan's was the one we found this time. The food was good - all of the portions, except the amount of meat (another ounce or two would have been nice)...More

In Ireland, you often hear people ask "How was the craic?" Pronounced "crack," it's Irish for the ambiance, conversation, and liveliness of a bar. Drinks and food bring you to a pub for lunch: craic makes you feel welcome and pulls you back with friends after work. Located in the heart of Grand Rapids downtown, Flanagan's has been a part of the Grand Rapids community for 35 years. Known for great food and relaxed atmosphere, the world-famous Irish hospitality comes in the form of a smile and a cold draft. Our Irish family stopped in for drinks before, during, and after a family wedding reception at the Mckay Tower and we were struck by both the history and the potential of the pub. Next to Mckay Tower, Rosa Parks Circle, and the DeVos Convention Center, there's no better place to be in the thick of Grand Rapids life. So after long preparation, Flanagan's is once again under Irish ownership and we have remodeled the entire bar in modern Irish charm - come in and you'll see a relaxed, authentic Irish pub with great low-priced specials and a curated draft & whiskey list. All-new draft system. Expansive whiskey selection. New food menu. Remodeled with Irish welcome. Call it Flanagan's 2.0. Call it Flanagan-again's (on second thought, don't call it that). Come join the craic - the Irish have never met a stranger.
