We had a wonderful time here, all four of us (husband and two kids included). After a pretty unfriendly welcome and a throwing down of our waters, John the manager saved the day. His smile and kind personality is one-of-a-kind. He recommended great drinks for...More

Stopped for breakfast and the service was great. It was very busy but the waitress made room for us right away. I had the biscuits and gravy and they were phenomenal! Just as good as the ones I've had in the southern U.S.

The stools at the bar were full, but people were nice enough to make room for both of us. After walking around the island for most of the day, we needed to get refreshed and beer was the "cure" we sought. John was tending bar...More

We've been to the island numerous times over the years, and while Seabiscuit is not our absolute favorite, it is a very good place to eat. Portions are sizable, the food was excellent, and prices reasonable.

This place is kind of small, the waitress was very nice and provide very good service. Food was average; however, I do like their sweet potato fries! Compare to the pink pony, the pink pony has more food choices, and bigger. Service is as good...More

We had the best service and food that was fantastic. The housemade Bloody Marys are the best! John was warm, welcoming and entertaining for our visits while on the island!

Stopped in for lunch, they were able to handle a party of eleven, and the food was great. Many items to choose from.

I'm leaning on no, but only because I wasn't overly impressed with the food or service. Couldn't hurt to fire off an email to the restaurant, though...

Description
This fabulous Mackinac Island eatery features an appropriate horse theme from the 1938 true life story of the famous horse, Seabiscuit. A great deal of care was taken to restore the original brick surfaces, hardwood floors and new furnishings have transformed the 1800’s bank building into a cozy, comfortable restaurant.

An excellent casual menu appropriately fits this charming place. Seabiscuit fans rave about the Lobster Roll, Deep Fried Macaroni Balls, Guinness Cheese Crock, Whitefish Chowder And Warm Apple Carrot Cake. Top it off with a Manmosa, a mango infused vodka with champagne.

A fine wine selection is available along with a full bar so stop in for an afternoon cocktail or stay for the evening sipping your favorite martini.
