Our executive board had dinner at this restaurant one Thursday evening in November. They (staff) managed to squeeze us in, and even though the restaurant was very full, the service was attentive, professional and they did not miss a beat even with a full house. All dishes were splendid and tasty, wines and champagne were increbily well fitted with the... More

We ate there last night and had an excellent evening. The food was beautifully presented and prepared. There is not much choice on the menu we chose but everything was superb and the standard of some Michelin starred food we have had recently. The wines were excellent as were the eaux de vie, of which there is a superb choice.... More

If you're staying a few days in the area, this restaurant should certainly be on your list. The food is expertly cooked and the menu will delight any palette. We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely return. On the downside, the tables are quite close to each other and the wine waiter needed to be a little more attentive... More

We got to La Vieille Forge for lunch without a reservation. The place was busy but was able to seat us. The welcome was friendly the service good despite that they were quite stretched with the full dining room. And the dishes provided us with yet another great Alsace dining experience on our way out.

Set in the heart of the picturesque village of Kayserberg, we enjoyed an Excellent meal at the end of a four night stay. The food was superbly presented, with Friendly service - well worth a visit - a great way to finish our stay. Highly recommended.

Just when we thought we couldn't better Au Trotthus, along comes La Ville Forge. We both had the €31 lunch. Each dish was excellent. Entre Panna Cotta plus terrine, followed by Pork Filets then cheeses and Brie au kirsch. France just doesn't come better. Elegant and relaxed. Would come back again and again.

Found this restaurant via the Michelin guide as highly recommended. We agree wholeheartedly. We had the 5 course menu, which was delicious. There is a very good selection of Alsatian as well as other French regional wines, at very good prices. The service was excellent and most hospitable; they helped guide us through the menu, translating dishes into English for... More

Because practically all other place in Kaysersberg were closed we stumbled upon this little friendly restaurant. No problem to receive us for lunch ( incl. our 2 dogs). We ordered the set lunch with 3 dishes, bottle of Riesling, bottle of Water and coffee. Entree was anchovis ( well prepared and refreshing in its presentation), main course was confit de... More

From the outside you won't think of what you will get. Inside, the decoration is made with care and doesn't detract from the food. We were four and tried all plates The butternut mousse with a smoked ham foam was lovely. Snails beautifully cooked with garlic and dried tomatoes is an absolute must try! The poultry was well cooked and... More

I watch that show on Food Network, The Best Thing I Ever Ate, and I always wonder what I could say or at least narrow the field of culinary delights. Now I know. The "escargot poeles, ail tomatoes sechees cremeiux is the most memorable dish I have ever had. I cannot even begin to describe the taste to my friends... More
