Excellent pizzas made from scratch on the premises. A beautiful stone building with vaulted ceiling. Lovely friendly owners, great service. Limited number of covers - get there early or book.

Dessert: hazelnut ice cream, hazelnut brittle, hazelnut torte. Small portions so that it was actually possible to eat and enjoy it all.

I should really have given five stars but the meal was a little beyond my ability to appreciate it fully. Three generations from 6 to 60 visited to sit in the terrace outside on a beautiful evening. The menu was... interesting; an amuse bouche of ham and cheese with a chilli dust followed by asparagus ice cream. We were going... More

We stayed in Turenne for two weeks and wandered over one evening for dinner without a reservation. Mme Cheyroux was nice enough to squeeze us in and we had a wonderful meal. Delicious food, nice wine selection, reasonable prices and a very charming hostess. The restaurant resides in a vaulted room that is cozy and welcoming. Upstairs is their hotel.... More

My wife and I decided to bring an Estonian friend to try out this place for the second time; we were here 11 months ago. It remains expensive - 60€ each for 3 courses plus wine. But the food was, again, excellent - particularly the entrees and plats. I had foie gras with shavings of black and white truffles -... More

Several people had advised us to try this place, especially in the summer when you can sit on the little terrace across the road from the hotel/restaurant. We are glad we did. It was a lovely, warm evening in one of France's most beautiful villages. One or two cars drove past up the little lane towards the castle but this... More

Having read other reviews, expectations were quite high but this charming little restaurant certainly delivered. A flow of amuse bouches always sets things off to a good start and the foie gras was delicious. Highly recommended.

Very small and personal in an incredibly beautiful, ramshackle medieval buliding. Food is excellent and there are lots of surprise and delights during the meal, such as cheese lollies and little asparagus mousses. Foie Gras to die for - forget all your moral scruples. I think you need to book in advance - we did as we were staying at... More
