This restaurant overlooks the beautiful Plage des Dames at the northern tip of Noirmoutier. The oysters (local, of course) served to us were the best I have ever had and our following courses did not disappoint either; seafood of the highest quality and care in preparation. And then there are the views ....... which rather reminded us of favourite places... More

Lovely location we sat on the veranda over looking the beach. The price was mid-range and the food was fresh and beautifully presented. The waiter was very helpful and attentive and there was a young waiter who spoke excellent English and helped us out with the ordering. Will definitely head back if we visited the island again.

We recently went there for dinner, and there is no word to express how extremely disappointed we were! First, a couple of us ordered the "poisson du jour" which consisted of two skewers of five small squares of fish each! At 24 euros the dish, that is quite an expensive fish! We also ordered a burger which was served raw!... More

This restaurant is good if you want dinner with a view, overlooking la Plage des Dames. The food was ok, Caesar salad was different from what you would expect in the UK ie the dressing had chilli in it but it was ok. My husband went for a 3 course meal including salmon & prawn terrine, fish with chorizo crust... More

We were attracted to this restuarant initially because of the view. We stayed in Noirmoutier for 3 days and ate here on the terrace overlooking the beach on 2 of the evenings. On both occasions, service was prompt and friendly, and the food and wine were delicious. I particlarly enjoyed the cabillaud (cod) en croute and my wife rated the... More

Stopped here for lunch as it has great views over looking the beach. We go here every time we are in Bois de la Chaize for a late lunch. The menu has changed from last year and they no longer do a croque Monsieur so we opted for the moules frites. They were delicious. The staff were very friendly.

We were directed to a table by the manager where the 2 waitresses, despite looking over several times, ignored us for 20 minutes. A French guy sat down on the next table and was brought menus etc within 1 minute. We were still ignored, so we walked out.

I can't speak for how well things go here during high season but we always travel just as high season is over (or just beginning) so we think of a lot of very popular places as quiet, calm and with perfect service. This is one of those places. Our hotel restaurant was closed so we walked the 5 minutes to... More
