The place is definitely busy so expect a modest wait time. It is well worth the wait. Went there with a large group and we all ordered the all-you-can-eat chicken. Wow, was it delicious. The chicken was moist and the sides were abundant. They make the best homemade butter noodles and the biscuits are hot from the oven. Friendly waitstaff... More

Reasonable wait time and well decorated with a Halloween twist (October and last weekend open for the season) Do Not wait out in the hallway as they will not come out to you to ask if they have your name , you have to walk up to the booking stand. We had heard so much hype about the place that... More

Definitely retro, homey and cozy. We each ordered the chicken Plate, rather than Family Style, still more than we could eat. Waitstaff was pleasant and professional. View of Maple River, with fall colors was wonderful too.

It was a beautiful fall Saturday, and we decided to drive to the Dam Site Inn before they closed for the season. We had a taste for their wonderful chicken dinners. Many others had the very same idea, and the many tables quickly filled up. We had our usual yummy chicken dinner, but not the all you can eat this... More

Fried Chicken, Perch, and Smoked Pork Chops. Can't get them better anywhere else. Plus homemade noodles to die for. If you have to crawl, go there. It's the best in Michigan.

I have been going to this restaurant for probably 20 years and I am never disappointed. The chicken dinners are amazing. They have a very extensive menu but I have never had anything but the chicken. The service is always very attentive and friendly. The decor is great. You would swear you were in a 1960's club. I don't think... More

Initially one might think this is simply a throwback to the 50s restaurant style, but it is more than that. It took us over 20 years to finally have dinner here... mostly because we couldn't quite fathom a chicken place being that good, having visit several others in the state, famous for their chicken but not being up to the... We got, what I think, was the all-you-can-eat, which had chicken, potatoes, biscuits, peas, and noodles. Each food was mouth watering. It was all well-cooked, tasted great, and left me full and happy. The service was great, we were checked on plenty, waters were refilled often, and food was brought out to us at a pleasing rate. The staff were... More

It feels like a 50's Dinner Club. I half expected Dean Martin to be singing in the bar! Ron, our excellent waiter, brought us the most amazing family style food, which started with pickled watermelon rind, pickled beets and corn relish (among others) on the reddish tray. We enjoyed some fizzy spiked lemonade, egg noodles akin to Amish dumplings, mashed... More

We had the pan fried family style chicken dinner. Everything was very good, mashed potatoes, noodles (spatzle?) chicken, peas, gravy and biscuits. Very Good!!
