This was a return visit as Petoskey can be challenging during the typical tourist season. But this is a place for locals and visitors. Decent menu, libations and prices.

Have been going here for years when in Petoskey. Sometimes service has been spotty but the food has always been good. Reservations are not confirmed. Went for a Sunday dinner. Didn't feel like a full pint of beer and was accommodated with a smaller glass that was priced accordingly. The server was young and seemed new given his unfamiliarity with... More

On a tour of northern Michigan on our 30th wedding anniversary and had dinner at City Park Grill. The food is excellent. We always split dinners and this was another good call. The salad with fresh tomato and mozzarella? Oh my gosh! Beer as always is an up north specialty. Don't go just once to CPG.

Having been going to City Park for 25 years. Always good food and a pleasure. More of a up scale place, but have went after snowboarding also.

After over a year hiatus due to a "not so great" meal, we decided to give it another try. Experience was good. We had lunch on a Friday afternoon. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, restaurant was nice and warm, and the food was good. We'll be back again...Thanks for getting things back on track!

This place is a landmark in Petoskey and known for their few hours hot biscuits delivered to the table while you wait for your food.Great lunch and excellent staff!

The food is very good, the wait staff are very attentive and courteous, and the atmosphere is dining room/pub. The kids can draw on the paper that tops the white table cloths. Large menu, and they will make almost anything special for you ie. I asked for just broiled fish instead of the lightly breaded, and it was great! We... More

I have had dinner here once with friends and I would definitely return. The food and staff were great and the prices weren't too bad for the experience provided.

I've had many meals at City Park and hardly ever disappointed. The warm bread that appears shortly after you sit down is addictive. The seafood pasta is my very dis and for a light choice get the small City Park salad with a piece of salmon. Service at the bar is hit or miss but the staff that wait the... More

City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven
