Nice tavern in the historic section of Petoskey. It is one of the oldest in the area. Drinks and appetizers were very good but the special of the day -- the new york strips were very flavorable but tough.

Was treated to dinner her for a recent celebration and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is so nice and the service was great. The food was delicious. We were a party of five and every one of us throughly enjoyed our meal.

Passing through Petoskey, my husband and I, along with another couple, decided to dine at City Park Grill, a favorite of ours from years ago when we lived in the area. Our service was spectacular. The food was OK. Missing were all the fun loving people. Though it was only 6ish, hardly anyone was there. We'll stop by again on... More

Here on a Saturday afternoon while a football game between Michigan and Michigan State was televised....busy and noisy. I had fish and chips...good, but needed a small portion of coleslaw in the basket. My husband had a namesake burger that he said was fine. Service was fine. Nothing about place, food or service is anything exceptional.

Thank you for the review. While we don't consider ourselves a sports bar, we do offer television viewing so that our guests can enjoy a game from time to time. MSU v. U of M tends to be the biggest game of the year in Michigan and certainly explains the non-typical atmosphere you experienced. We appreciate the feedback. Thank you. More

While staying in petoskey, the staff at the inn I am staying at recommended this place. So me and a friend came here for dinner. At first I thought the prices were a little high but after tasting the food I was impressed. It was delicious, got the food fairly quickly, our waitress was really nice and glad to come... More

Unique dining experience in old renovated building. Fine dining or pub food. The homemade biscuits are the best! Creative dinner specials are unique, food is always good.

We stopped in here for restaurant week so the menu was a little different, but the food was excellent. Located on the northern end of town, the restaurant is a good mix of a bar atmosphere in the front, and nicer dining at the back of the building. The bar tabletops were more comfortable than most I've tried. I loved... More

Downtown Petoskey has several choices for dinner and we were happy with our choice of City Park Grill. It was restaurant week in Petoskey and they had a special 3 course menu. You could pick one appetiizer, one main course and a dessert. It was very good for the $25 price. The service was also excellent.

Dinner after work day. Love the building andthe inside has sooo much character. Not too noisy and plenty of seating at bar or on main floor. Had appetizers of calamari and fried zuchini...both really good. Had a Chicago burger in honor of the Cubs playing. The burger was really juicy and you have optional sides which can include delicious home... More

We was in the area for a conference at Boyne Mountain and wanted to eat somewhere outside of the area and drove to this city. I thought that we could get a good burger and fries and choose to eat here. WOW! the menu offerings, taste of the food, and super awesome service would want me to drive the four... More

Description
City Park Grill, one of Petoskey’s oldest buildings, was originally constructed in 1875. McCarty Hall, as it was then known was a malesonly billiard parlor that offered cigars and “intoxicating beverages.” Today, City Park Grill maintains a loyal clientele with house-made cuisine, focusing on locally procured produce, meats and lake fish, an awardwinning wine collection and house-made biscuits straight from the oven
