My wife and I had another excellent experience at the Golden Eagle, and will certainly return. My entree, the tenderloin medallions with portabella, was outstanding. Service was prompt and attentive. And on January 14th, we enjoyed the decor, as it still featured Christmas!
Tucked away - almost hidden - in a small shopping center, the Golden Eagle has been a mainstay of the Rochester area for years. The décor brings you back to the 80's with stained glass lamp shades and silk ivy everywhere. Your eyes need to adjust to a darker environment - but the wait staff and host are professional and... I gave 3 stars strictly based on the quality/taste of the food. We were there with a party of four. The food was ok. Went with a small group. Wait staff did a good job after small reminders. 5:30-6:00 on a Friday and they were out of several things. Everyone was satisfied with there meal.
After not having been here for a few years I was greatly surprised and wondered why I didn't come for so long. Service was great. Food was impressive, especially for the price. Great menu selection covers a wide range of tastes. It's in a strip mall type location so a little more work to find but well worth it and... More

The finest aged tenderloin served with a buttery zip sauce. Not steakhouse styled steak.. Very fine. The shrimp scampi is probably the best I've had.... More
I enjoyed my filet and my colleague enjoyed his shrimp scampi. The snicker pie was great. The service was good and helpful.
This is an old-school sit-down restaurant with a very traditional menu. (Average age of all the customers there was probably north of 60.) If you wonder how such a place has stayed in business for so long, go there for a meal and judge based on the quality of the food. We went Saturday night and had the prime-rib special... More
