Absolutely fantastic service, beautiful food and situated in an idyllic location. We have been here quite a few times for family meals and the staff are always so accommodating and welcoming, food is always up to high standard and you never leave hungry. Sip wine and cocktails in the sunlight looking over the beautiful marina or cosy up at the bar or restaurant during those colder chilly months, whatever the weather you are guaranteed the warmest welcome. You can even order take away Sunday dinner, which is, always prepared to perfection.

Called in today for food and to watch the rugby. Let me start by saying I got such a warm and friendly welcome by Jerry the bar staff. Ordered a pint of Guinness for myself and to be honest I’m very critical of any pint of the black stuff I get, and it was poured to perfection, my kids were given colouring in sheets to keep them occupied as myself and my wife enjoyed the rugby. The place was very busy and asked if we could book a table once rugby was over. Chloe’s the waitress made sure we had a table as soon as it ended. We ordered our food before we went in, and as we sat down there was the shortest of waits before food came out. I went for the steak And to be honest it was the nicest steak I have ever tasted in my life. My wife went for the scampi and said it’s been a long time since she tasted as good. Kids both went for the. Goujons and chips. There was four clean plates. I can honestly say, the atmosphere was so relaxed, good music, the staff I have to say are the best I have encountered yet, friendly, helpful and really look after you and the overall experience I would rate 10/10. Thank you moorings, I will be back again really soon.

This lovely restaurant by a charming marina is run by the friendliest team and owners. We always pay a visit when we come home ( now living in Warwickshire) and it never disappoints. The pub style food is consistently delicious, the ambience beside the tranquil lough is beautiful nestled beside beautiful countryside. Outdoor seating is available for warmer weather when we have came for snacks and drinks to watch the boats.

Three stars because the front of house staff Carried the kitchen. Rump steak is not ribeye!! To put rib-eye on the menu and then serve seriously tough rump in its place is inexcusable. Not to mention trade descriptions! Our server was very friendly and this alone stopped me from complaining, I now regret this because I’m sure the waitress would have heard it before. The starters were over cooked straight from the freezer and the dessert was almost adequate.

Had lunch on the Wednesday club sandwiches and they were lovely so we thought we would try out the Sunday lunch. The setting is nice enough over looking lough Erne but it is a very basic and outdated restaurant that could do with a but of TLC and maintenance. I had the roast beef and it was terrible it arrived on a mountain of cold over mashed potatoe with an equally large serving of cabbage mixed with swede and carrots again all like warm on top of this creation was 2 tiny slices of beef that were dry and leather like if you blow the picture up you will see this clearly for yourself. Not only was it cooked within an inch of its life it was 90% gristle with a rather poor bought in Yorkshire pudding and gravy that was transparent. I couldn't eat it so I gave the beef to my dog who also couldn't eat it he chewed and chewed and in the end we decided the poor little mites life could be at risk of choking! I really struggle to see how you can destroy a cooked dinner consisting of vegetables and meat iys a basic dish that requires very little effort but congratulations you absolutely nailed it. I left the beef for the waitress to see and she said she would notify the chef who I presume thinks that this is what constitutes for a good Sunday lunch as we never even got an apology. Needless to say we won't be back. The meal was not cheap and not acceptable.

We visited for an evening meal while staying in Enniskillen. Reviews said the restaurant was brilliant - and I have to say, it most definitely was! So good, in fact, that we re-visited the next evening to try other dishes on the menu! Our meals were all top- quality and the owners and their staff were just great; nothing was too much trouble. On both nights, my menu choices were rainbows of flavours, so massive credit to the chef .

Called here on 12/02/2023. As I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly waitress. Asked if I could have a table for two adults and two kids to which that was no problem. Ordered drinks and placed order. Food came out after a short while and all I can say was it was amazing. My wife had the roast of the day and went for the turkey option, she stated that it was melt in your mouth delicious. Portions were fantastic too. My two kids had the chicken goujons and chips and they both loved them. I had the moorings burger with chips on the side, from The first bite I absolutely loved it. Lovely little kick to the burger. Was offered sweet menu after plates were cleared, seen they had banoffee pie so I could not resist, and my god it was worth it. Lovely and light and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend the moorings and I will be back again soon.

We were boating on the Shannon River for the first time and experiencing wet weather, and looking for a mooring for several night. One phone call to Geoffrey at Moorings Marina and all our prayers were answered. Geoffrey could not have been more helpful. He advised us on mooring, refuelling, geography and more. And after a cold day of cruising, we discovered the the Moorings Restaurant. What a haven this was. Great Irish draft beers, a coal fire and a stunning menu. The staff were wonderful, and so was the chef. The Tomato and Pepper soup drew universal praise. With our mains, which were great, we ordered “tobacco onions” - delightful crumbed small onion pieces. Seriously good. It is not often when you are far from home to discover a true haven of hospitality, from the marina staff to the restaurant staff. And Geoffrey is the orchestra leader. Thank you all for making our stay in Enniskillen so memorable. True Irish hospitality.

Visited as a group of 10 people. We booked a table for early teatime. We placed our order and 3 of our party ordered the battered cod. After some delay the owner apologised for the wait but said another large order had gone in before ours. We continued to wait almost 45 minutes during which time 3 other tables came in of smaller groups of 4. They were all served their food before us. Eventually 3 of our kids meals arrived but one of them was incorrect (beefburger instead of chicken burger). At the same time we were told there was no more cod left (the tables who came in after us had been served cod) and could we reorder something else. Reluctantly we ordered alternative meals and waited along with rest of our party for another 15 or 20 minutes. The waitress was very apologetic but the owner never approached us again despite walking past the table several times. Eventually the food arrived along with the corrected kids meal but the skinny fries ordered has been swapped for garlic chips which were not wanted. By this stage we were hungry and exasperated so didn't flag the mistake. When the bill arrived we had been charged in full without even a small concession for the wait or the mix ups and unavailability of what we had originally ordered .....a small token such as soft drinks taken off the bill would have gone a long way. We left disappointed and underwhelmed. Such a shame as location beautiful but food and service did not match on this occasion....

The problem with this place was that the views were blocked by their outside tent for the bar and people smoking - yuck. The food was below average. I would recommend sticking to beer and burgers, everything else (there were four of us that ordered four different dishes) was not great. Pre-made frozen food. This is not the kind of place you come to for good food. You come here for a bit of summer atmosphere. The staff were very nice and efficient. If you stick to burgers and beer on a nice summer day you'll be happy enough. Now that covid is on its way out hopefully they'll remove that horrible tent stinking of smoke and blocking nice views from restaurant customers.

If you are looking fabulous food in an idyllic location this is the place for you. Set on the banks of River Erne, in Co Fermanagh, N Ireland this restaurant has everything. The owner, Charlie is a gentleman and his staff are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. It is dog friendly by the way. You have a choice of three eating venues. Inside. Outside but under a roof and thirdly my favourite, down on the open deck looking out over the river Erne and all the boats. The food is lovely. Plenty of it as well. Prices very reasonable. Between 10am and 3pm lunch is served. The most expensive item on menu costs £9.00!!. Of you are looking for a family friendly restaurant that welcomes dogs, then this is the spot. I am there at least once a week and have never ever had a bad experience. Honestly try The Moorings at Ballinaleck. You will not be disappointed.

I have traveled widely in the world and in many different types and styles of Restaurant. This Restaurant and the owner in pairticular must have been the model when they wrote the book on hospitality. We could not have been treated better. The food marched the hospitality. I cannot recommend The Moorings highly enough

We have ate here quite a few times and have been impressed however last Saturday evening we were disappointed. Staff were as friendly and courteous as before but we thought the standard of food had slipped. My wife ordered a side salad along with her mains which when I seen it was a very poor effort, she said nothing but later confirmed my suspicions. My wife orders side salad regularly when we eat out but this effort was terrible, I would suggest a sliced boiled egg, maybe pineapple etc instead of the dry effort would be an improvement.

Food fresh, plentiful and delicious - exceptional staff and manager could not do enough for you. We had the Brie, chicken wings for starters and the scampi, peppered chicken and steak for mains. We had hired a cruiser from Carrickcraft so had our finale meal here before we disembarked. Lovely restaurant staff so welcoming and food and portions sizes excellent. Had a night cap in the bar beside the restaurant. We would highly recommend.
