came in for dinner and i had hunters chicken, chicken was chewy and bacon was under, bbq sauce was also very sharp and salty i don’t know if this is bought or made in house? my partner had a mixed grill, the steak was under...to his liking - he asked for it medium and it was blue-rare, i informed a member of staff (a young girl) and she apologised and didn’t do much about it.More

We stop in many hotels throughout the country, but found to black swan absolutely fantastic. In fact I normally find a fault with something. On this occasion I was not able to find a problem. We will most definitely be visiting again. Staff, food, service...where all fantastic and a wonderful homely feel. Spot on, well done folks.More

We have been here so many times and never disappoints. Love the food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Have stayed here many times also in the family room. Unfortunately, was fully booked this summer so couldn’t stay. Decided to come for an evening meal though. So...glad we did. Can’t wait to return.More

We had a very pleasant evening, the ambience was very good and the staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The meals were excellent , very well presented and piping hot. On the whole a very enjoyable experience.

We were disappointed to find out that there was only one vegetarian main and starter option. There was no vegan options, despite a vegan menu being advertised on the website. Otherwise, the food was fine, however, the buttermilk chicken burger was burnt.More

The Black Swan is a lovely country pub situated just outside Norwich. It is a pub/B&B with a very good restaurant. I went there for a Sunday dinner with my wife. The Sunday fixed price menu was very good value. It had a good choice...with, amongst other dishes, a selection of roasts. My wife had a vegetable lasagne and I opted for the beef roast. Unusually, if you paid a small supplement you could have the meat pink. This was my ideal choice and I was not disappointed. We both enjoyed two very good courses and we were so full after that, that we could only manage to share a dish of ice cream for dessert. The young staff were very friendly and efficient. All in all it was a very enjoyable experiece and one which we would recommend to others.More

Very poor meal, had mixed grill and the steak was as tuff as old boots, everything was under cooked.. egg white still runny, chip’s crispy on the outside but raw in the middle. My steak was meant to be medium/well but it was still bleeding...so I had to send it back, not worth the money . Two friends I was with also had very poor meals. Won’t be going back.More

I’ve been visiting this place for many years, the improvements made over the last few years have been a huge transformation and it’s a lovely welcoming environment and is a comfortable and classy place to be, lovely position with views over the village Green, love...the fresh flowers on the tables in the bar and restaurant the food was top class as was the service and staff. I visit a couple of times a year and whoever owns this place must have a great pride in itMore

Having never been to the Black Swan before, my partner and I didn't know what to expect. Our stay though (including drinks in the garden, dinner in the restaurant, a room for the night then breakfast) was exceptional in all aspects and couldn't be faulted....The building is superb and a great mix of old and modern; and comprises extensive indoor and outdoor facilities. Food and drinks choice spot on and excellent, friendly service from all the staff we met. Would strongly recommendMore

Lovely quiet location. The food was excellent albeit not a hugely extensive choice, BUT something for everyone. The staff were excellent and attentive. The venue, as a hearing aid user, perfect. The floor was carpeted and there were fabric curtains which makes a huge difference...to hard of hearing as you can carry on conversation as normalMore
