Ordered $5.00 burger. Just ok. Wife ordered mussels and fries. The sauce was good. The mussels are too small for the price they charge. Also, menu in Internet is old. Unlimited perch bucket is no longer available.

We went all the way from Chicago to have a perch. Old place in S. Haven we used to go doesn't serve it anymore. We were happy to find Thirsty Perch. We ordered a deep fried with fries. The coleslaw was good, but fish was fried in batter and practically did not have a taste of fish at all. It... More

Geez, I wish I would have read the reviews before I returned to the Thirsty Perch. We last ate here about 8 years ago and I remembered it having a rustic atmosphere and delicious food. Now, it is trying to appear upscale---they have remodeled and expanded--and YUCK from start to finish. I ordered the heaped perch sandwich. I opted to... More

We have been to this restaurant several times and the service is always poor. Most recently, we believe the problem was in the kitchen. If you can stand the wait, the perch is delicious - it's the only reason we keep going back.

The IPA beers were good. Service was incredibly slow for ordering a cheese burger and a perch sandwich for dinner. The food finally came out hot, which leads us to believe the problem was the kitchen. Twice during our wait, we saw what appeared to be kitchen staff going into and out of what looked like an office. We weren't... More

It was a slow night at the Thirsty Perch so my wife and I were 1 of only about 5 tables being served. Our waitress spent extra time talking with us, making us feel very welcome and clearly explaining some of the menu options. After our food had been served, a manager stopped by as well to check and make... More

We stopped in for drinks and a snack prior to dinner. The staff was ok. The drinks were very good. I had oysters and smoked whitefish dip. Both were better than I expected for a tourist town. Off he main drag makes it an option.

We were very disappointed with the Thirsty Perch. We have not been here for several years and the quality has really gone down hill. One page menu with very limited choices. Over priced for quality of food. Fried fish very heavily battered and greasy. Blah. Regret to say I would suggest you go elsewhere.

We ate at the Thirsty Perch this evening. A menu with a large variety of seafood from perch, to oysters, to white fish. They also have items like lobster mac and cheese and bouillabaisse in a saffron sauce. I had the bouillabaisse and it was very, very good. The waitress explained that they make fresh fish sauce every three days.... More

We had tried to eat at Sophie's earlier in the night and had such bad service we left while waiting to order there. We ended up at Thirsty Perch because Clementines was packed. Our waitress was attentive and actually came back in under 20 minutes to take our order. Our drinks came quickly and our food was also fast to... More
