The food was bad, nasty and bland the yum yum sauce should have been called yuck yuck yuck sauce. The mushroom soup or water ever it’s called should have simply hot water with mushrooms and green onions with soggy whatever the crap was in there....The salad ginger dressing was the only decent thing there to eat the butter was not garlic butter. The cook burned the food he did not interact with the table he portrayed we were aggravating him by asking questions and the children of the other guest asking for extra sauce the chicken was dry and I will never be back here ever again! They charge a 18% gratuity called “service charge” This was the worst wedding anniversary dinner ever. If you want some good hibachi I recommend Sagano.More

not what it used to be

quality of food ahas gone way down first visit post covid but used to go regularly . not that you go for the "show" but zero entertainment value, the fried rice was flavorless and vegetables were barely cooked o the grill my wife said the...sushi was just plain flavorless I will not be returning other locations in the area to choose from hopefully betterMore

Verbal assault after horrible experience

On 11/15/21 early afternoon I ordered $130.90 of carryout from Shogun on Martyr in st clair shores. Food showed up over cooked & missing sauces that extra was ordered due to big order. Spicy tuna salad entree was also missing. Called there. Got female manager....She said I never planned on giving you the other sauces & I personally forgot to pack your tuna salad. I said I am sick thus I ordered uber delivery---now who do I call? She responds "B**ch---I don't care who the f**k you call to complain" & slammed phone down. I cannot get ahold of an owner or supervisor. None listed. Other 2 locations told me boss is on long term vacation. Horrible food, missing entrees & a manager that verbally assaults customers Classless Shogun. Shame!More

Son's birthday sushi

Always enjoy Shogun sushi. Since it was my son's birthday I let him select the items. I have to admit he did a fine job. As usual, the sushi here was very good. Fresh and well made. Plus it's only a couple of minutes from...my house.More

Lunch with FCA lol

Me and my pals from work decided to go out for lunch as it's Saturday. We look up local places to eat at and try. Today on the menu we wanted Asian. So we found this place. Reminds me of Mongolian or Benihana. Chef cooks...in front of you. We also shared a table eating space with 3 random strangers who worked at the local Chrysler plant. The food was pretty good. Pricing was also reasonable. The company turned out to be friendly and pleasant. As did the cuisine. Meals ranged from about $9 to $15. I will be back.More

Food was great - as usual! Chef was quite funny!

The food was amazing. I had the filet with fried rice. There was 12 of us and every one of us enjoyed our meal! The "at the table" chef was quite funny!

Dinner is the show

Met some friends here for dinner and sat at the hibachi table.I had the steak and shrimp combo which was very good. The table chef was entertaining with his cooking and there was ample food. The service was very good. It's a little high priced,...but you go there for the entertainment value and the atmosphere. I will definitely go back.More

Good value for the price

Went here for a birthday dinner while staying close by on an overnight trip. Service was good and food was good also. Prices were what I would expect for this type of restaurant. Portions were big and we all walked away with full bellies and...were satisfied.More

Excellent food and service!

This was a delightful experience! Food was awesome, waiters were efficient and entertaining! A great place to celebrate an event and sitting with other people you don’t know is pleasant and not uncomfortable! A must experience in dining!

Typical dramatic flare attempts at flat-top cooking.

Was not overly impressed with "The Show." Each and almost every oriental place has a "dramatic show on the flat-top!" This was nothing new. Yawn - Same old, same old. Food was just so-so. I mean they DO try but without something new, what have...you got? Cook the rice, do a "Volcano with onion rings, flip a couple of shrimp into your hat - yawn.More

showoff chef

We went for a birthday dinner. They wont seat you unless your whole party is present. We had a hard time even ordering a drink while we were waiting. Food was average lots of grizzle in my meat. Very disappointed since it is in a...shopping center close to home. Probably wont go back, but they have been there for many years so maybe they are doing something right.More

Regular Sunday Dinner...

I am starting to have Shogun just about every Sunday after church. Chicken and Sirloin with double fried rice! I enjoy coming here as it is rarely crowded, affordable and Ms. Yvonne is so nice and welcoming. I want some rice now! Lol.

Business Luncheon

The business luncheon was a retirement gathering, there were approximately 30 people, no problem seating, did call ahead of time for reservations. Everyone loved their food, large portions and prepared before your eyes.
