I stayed here overnight with a friend . We had a lovely sunday lunch ( check if they are doing roasts if you want one) before a walk to the Bombay Distillery which at a leisurely place was only 10-15 mins on a pavement alongside...the road outside the Inn. The food was beautifully presented for lunch and breakfast and tasted good.
The room was clean , it had comfortable beds , usual tea coffee, lovely biscuits, bottled water!
If you like plants, Hardy's plants is just up the road.
A special mention to the staff, every one of them was excellent including housekeeping, bar and restaurant team and bar manager. They were attentive without being annoying; informative, anticipated every need. Quite brilliant. Thank you for a brilliant stay. If you like character olde worlde.. stay in the main building which has modern rooms with a more country style ( white crisp linen modern paint colours etc modern bathroom, in old setting) ( ask about the ensuite, some have a split vertically door, some a more solid door , if it bothers you), if you like high quality timber garden rooms ( inside they are plastered so do not feel like timber cabins) which are new with high quality modern fittings stay in the garden! I don't think my description does it justice.More
