Very friendly staff. Beautiful view. Decent food. Pancakes are very good. This place has been here since the 60s. Prices seem higher than average for breakfast.

Our business group meets here every Wednesday morning and Sara is our expert waitress. The omelette I usually get they change slightly with no complaints from the chef. I order the western omelette but they put the cheese on the out side which in my opinion isn't correct, they will however put it on the inside before they flip it... More
Ordered the New York Cheesecake pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. The stack was 4 high and more than I could have ate even if I liked them. Unfortunately they were the most dense pancakes I have ever tried to eat by far. Seriously I would guess they may have weighed twice what a fluffy pancake would. The sliced strawberries... More
Went on a Wednesday evening with my kids. We had the Big Dutch Baby and Red Velvet pancakes. AS they state on the menu, the Big Dutch Baby takes additional time - but it is well worth it! The cinnamon sugar ooey gooey goodness added to the pancake was so yummy. Like the gooey center of a cinnamon roll. The... More
Eggs, toast, hash browns and bacon 7.99! Good food. Fast service. The restaurant was full of patrons for breakfast. Service was prompt and courteous. Our waitress checked on us throughout the meal even though though she was extremely busy. Carrie K was great!! Ask for her and leave her a big tip.
We had reuben sandwiches and the cheese, corned beef and sauerkraut was all shredded and mixed. Never really had a good taste of corned beef - it was all mushy. Unbelievable that the entire time we were eating someone was vacuuming around us. OMG . Still cannot fathom someone being this stupid. We will NEVER go in there again.

The new Flap has been redecorated to the retro 1970s look and somehow it works. Unfortunately, there are no shades on the southern windows and if you're there at sunset be prepared to be blinded. I found the food... More
So you are asking yourself where to have breakfast in Traverse City well look no further, this is the place. I wish I had tried it earlier in our trip we wouldn't have eaten breakfast anywhere else. They have a whole array of pancakes and waffles and toppings for them. I had the NY cheesecake flap jacks and my wife... More
Love the food and the wait staff. We four people had different entrees and each of us was very happy with our choice. And the waiter was pleasant, efficient and kind. We will be back again. Thank you.
Expect a wait but they give you a pager to alert you-good flapjacks, pigs in a blanket, pumpkin pancakes-small skillet entree portion-forget the hash brown potatoes/tater tots totally terrible.
