Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As always..packed and I'm glad we booked, although I would say not crowded. The weather allowed us to eat in the garden, which or two dogs (who were very welcome) enjoyed. The Sunday Roast is excellent. Big portions, choices of meat and lots of different...vegetables to choose from. Gravy is delicious. Shout out to the chef, who cooks beautifully. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. This will be a 'once a month' at least for usMore

I have never been to a pub/ restaurant where there was no flexibility regarding accommodating dietary requirements.. The worst part was the lack of care/ customer service... so back in the car to Barley Mow, where it was the total opposite, all requests, were gratefully...delivered....soooo disappointing The old chequers Inn😕More

Visited on holiday after friends did a brewery tour. Me and another friend met them at the pub. We arrived early and was told all seats in the pub were reserved. We had a reservation for 1:30pm and arrived at 12:30. Brought drinks and made...to sit outside in 26c full sun. No shade and no umbrellas in the tables. The pub was empty at the time apart from a couple that arrived at the same time as us. They could have accommodated us even if they had to keep moving us when people arrived. So we didn’t have to burn outside. Our friends arrived and by this time the pub did have. A few full tables but still had empty ones. Now for the good part. We were put on our table and asked to go collect food. You have to walk through the bar to get to the carvery and you are amazed by the set up for a small room. The lady that served us was amazing. Very talkative and interested in our holiday. You get your meat and help yourself to veg. The food was 10/10! Amazing. The staff were all very friendly. Just a shame we had to sit outside in that heat. Heads up it’s a 25 min walk from Wainfleet train station. And no bus service to the pub. We will be going again. But in a car next time.More

Total disappointment! Stopped on the caravan site so planned to come here for dinner, we didn't book but it was extremely quiet, literally nobody in there accept one guy at the bar. About 2 out of the 10 tables were reserved. The bar lady didn't...even say hello just barked at us "do you have a booking" to which we said no, sorry, but could we sit down for some food and she just said "no you can only eat if you've booked". Seems like a good way to lose customers lol. Anyway their attitude was rubbish and actually glad we didn't stay as we found another lovely little pub in Burgh le Marsh and the people there actually did know how to run the place 😋More
