My friends booked a table for 6 of us for my birthday. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by a young man and taken to our table which was lovely. From then on we were looked after for the whole evening by the same man. This was more impressive as he appeared to be the only waiter... More

I stopped in for dinner with my partner for a quick bite to eat and the menu choice was excellent, the service was amazing and all the staff were very welcoming. I can't fault it one bit, we will be back again for sure. Thank you Coventry Arms team so much.

We were in the area the other day and decided to pop in for lunch to give the pub another try , we were glad to see when we were seated that the menu has recently changed , we decided in the end to order a shrimp salad and a soup , when they arrived the sale was presented well... More

We have dined at this pub several times in the past as it is a good half way meeting point for family in Sussex. However, when we met there last Sunday I was a little bit disappointed. I ordered a starter and a main as I am vegan and there was nothing on the dessert menu that I could have.... More

Lovely greeting. Pub seemed to have no soul. We had the sharer camembert, unfortunately although the cheese was lovely hot and gooey it was served on a cold plate with cold bread. Onion chutney was great. Sticky toffee pudding was yummy but the lemon elton mess was too sweet.

Stopped on our way from Eastbourne to Plymouth for lunch. Very nice garden and pub looked inviting. However food was very basic and not very appealing. I had gammon and my wife a salad. Neither were presented well and were bland tasting. Staff also just about civil.

Service was great until main courses turned up. All other main courses were great but one which was the salad nicoise with blacked salmon. Sounded great but when it came out it was not a salad by greasy sautéed vegetables. Even the boiled egg had been fried???? Not at all what I was expecting. To be fair when I queried... More

Visited recently after a gap of several months and was most disappointed. Food quality had definitely gone down, and portion size was smaller than I remembered. Burger was dry and over cooked. Prawns small an definitely freeze/thaw. Menu sticking to table, not a good sign. Come on guys I know you can do better than this!

Having lived in Corfe Mullen for nearly 30 years I have seen the Coventry Arms through many phases. The new owner has had it totally refurbished both inside and out to make the best of its river location and they are currently working on using the island as an extra outside attraction. The food is all cooked and prepared on... More

Located on the busy A31 near Corfe Mullen, you could be forgiven for driving by thinking The Coventry Arms is just another local pub. However this 15th Century Inn, has so much more to offer. Inside there is a lovely bar offering local real ales, and a great wine and spirits selection. The restaurant seats 50 people with more comfortable seats available outside on the rear (heated) patio. Our large gardens have ample seating for over 100 people, and we have 3 large dining tents that can seat up t0 10 people each. Our River Lounge, right on the edge of the River Stour with comfy lounge seating and heaters is the perfect spot to sit and unwind at end of a hard days work or sightseeing.
