The White Swan has a traditional 17th Century stone exterior, surrounding a contemporary open plan interior, with tall tables around the bar, cosy booths around the log burner and solid wooden tables and floor throughout. We serve beers from local breweries and a broad selection of wines from around the world, complimented by a regularly changing menu to reflect what is seasonally and locally at its best. There is a good sized car park to the rear and both a lawned garden and a covered and heated patio area.

We visited with our friends, 4 of us, the waitress apologised for slow service as short of staff. Our starters were ok, too few whitebait. It took a while to receive our main courses, they were served on very cold plates, my pie was small...More
We went out for a meal and decided to travel out to the white swan. It did not disappoint. Service was excellent, lovely atmosphere and the food was great. It was served hot and very tasty. The food had very good portion sizes and full...More

We went on a Thursday (as it was our wedding anniversary) quite early so it wasn't terribly busy. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. I had scallops to start and steak as a main and both were very good. Neither of us had dessert...More
Very compact and welcoming. The extensive menu did make me worry about quality and waiting times. However no issues on our visit. Food was very good with a few minor quibbles. Some of the potatoes on my coq auvin could easily be replaced with vegetables...More
Second visit to this eatery with friends on a busy Friday evening, the bar and restaurant were full (pleasing for the owners of this out-of-the-way pub). It's a very noisy place because most of the surfaces are hard, reflecting all the noise in the pub...More
This friendly village pub keeps a good pint and has a nice atmosphere in the cramped bar area. The long restaurant area doesn't lend itself to an intimate ambience. We dropped in for a (fairly late) Sunday lunch and beef, pork or chicken were on...More
