My biggest complaint is with the pricing. I'd expect that a locally sourced fish dish would not be roughly $20 like it was walleye in the Twin Cities. It was a long wait for an overpriced meal, but at least it was tasty enough to be mostly palatable. I don't think I'll be going to the restaurant side again, though... More

A fun, eclectic, and historic environment with friendly, prompt service. A full menu with lots of great options. We were pleased with the high-quality ingredients. We were very pleased with the gluten sensitive memo as well. Fries are not separated during frying so are not an option, but gluten free bread at least makes for many great sandwich options. The... My wife and I ate a late lunch at Grandma's. After being told there was a thirty minute wait for a table, we chose to eat at the bar. Service by the bar tenders was super, very friendly, attentive and fast. On the recommendation of one of the bar tenders, I had the Mac N Cheese and my wife enjoyed... More

Good atmosphere and food. Really interesting beer menu, including two gluten free craft beers. Pricey for a grill and bar, but it's a hot vacation spot so it's not a surprise.

We sat on the deck and could see the lift bridge clearly. The food we selected was for adults and kids. The kids loved their choices and the adults liked their choice too. Kids love deep fried whatever and the adult sandwich of smoked turkey and bacon was very tasty but messy. Too much in the sandwich and it fell... More

Grandma's booked us a large table near the bar. We were more interested in swapping stories than eating which we did for about three hours and probably were quite loud Everyone from the wait staff to other diners were very friendly and the food was actually quite good.

Fun foods, much local. Including Minnesota walleye. The service was wonderful and exceeded expectations. The food quality was fine, and super service. Great location. Worth a visit

This was recommended by the hotel staff where we stayed. Hubby had their Tricycle hamburger and said it was very good. I ventured and got their Wild Rice Chicken Salad and it was very good, never had anything like it. Also came with lots of fruit which made it more enjoyable and rice toast points. The lemon cake was good... More

Description
Since 1976 Grandma’s Saloon & Grill has been a casual but lively adventure to the past where value and customer service are at the center of everything we do. You’re surrounded by authentic antiques, collectibles, and an eager staff ready and willing to please. The award winning food includes overstuffed sandwiches and burgers; USDA choice steaks; house specialty pasta and wild rice dishes; appetizers include nationally recognized homemade onion rings, chicken wings, and stuffed mushrooms. It’s an eyeful as well as a mouthful. The legacy of customer satisfaction has been handed down by the Italian immigrant who started it all, “Grandma” Rosa Brochi. Everything she did in her early boarding house business included “100% customer satisfaction,” words that we still live by today. Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is real history, real antiques, real service, and really good food! A dining experience of legendary indulgence. The original Grandma’s Saloon & Grill is located at the foot of the historic Aerial Lift Bridge, at the tip of Lake Superior. Seasonal deck dining and the new rooftop lounge includes this spectacular view.
