Had a lovely lunch time meal with the Menu of the day. Partridge was my choice and it was delicious. The two servers were friendly helpful and knowledgeable. Each of us had something different Sea Bream being another choice. Deserts were original and we had little tasters. Can't recommend this Restaurant highly enough and it's a pity we do not... More

Booked the Great British Tasting Experience with wine flight for my husband for Christmas and obviously he had to take me too! We also stayed over and can honestly say this was much much more than fine dining. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly informative staff, beautiful rooms and amazing food made this one of our best nights ever. Of course, the... More

I can't convey how great the food and service is in this place. Everything from the starters to the puddings was gorgeous. I will go back to eat here just for the day, I live in London!

We went there for a snap-decision lunch and were not disappointed. There are a couple of extra tables in the main, lower part if the dining area, which does not feel wedged in. We had plenty of space and the 'lunch du jour' was as excellent as ever. The service is the right balance of attentiveness and friendliness, while still... More

Best lunch this century. Called in on the off chance as passing by. Not had service or food like it in the U.K. before. Can't wait to revisit for one of there special evening gourmet dinners.

We stayed at the Swan for two nights. On both evening meals, the food was good, but not without their faults. First the disappointments, a fish bone in a fish cake, to my mind, a cardinal sin; then, in the heavily promoted Great British Menu meal, bone in the partridge breast. Generally though, both evening meals were very enjoyable, and... More

My wife took me for a belated birthday lunch today. It was a freezing cold day and the wood burner kept us nice and warm. The staff waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We chose the Lunch du Jour menu for 3 courses at just over £20 which is great value for the quality of the food. I went for... More

My husband and I enjoyed the great British tasting menu to celebrate his birthday. All courses were delicious especially the dessert. Nice roaring fire only criticism would be I was quite uncomfortable sitting on a window bench seat. Friendly waitresses and not rushed. Would definitely return and recommend

I have been reviewing eating/drinking places for sometime (having moved to the area recently it is important one finds a decent ‘bolt hole’) and on my list was the Swan at Ingham. When reviewing a new place I always have the fixed menu. This is to check out the chef’s attention to lesser dishes. The food was ok, my partner... More

Didn't really know what to expect as unfamiliar with the area and had been given a meal voucher as a gift. Warm welcome and asked whether we wanted to relax in the (very small ) foyer area or go straight to our table. Opted for the latter and realised all the staff seem to double up as bar staff and...
