24 of us went for a meal sunday 21/5/17 to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. We started to arrive earlier than booked in, as most didn't know the area, so they wen't ready for us. We gathered around the bar area and had a drink, we were kept informed as to when we would have the tables ready, 5 mins-2mins... More

What a find, We were staying at a nearby lodge and one of the staff mentioned this lovely pub. It was suggested they did in his words "Anniversary posh, but pricey", which made us smile. We made a reservation and duly turned up. Prior to our visit my Husband broke his foot and is on crutches, he was a little... More

The food was amazing! In my opinion it's reasonably priced for the quality of food. The only downside is that it was abit crammed, but that is understandable since it was Mother's Day. We didn't have to wait long for the food, the quality was fantastic and it didn't cost the earth. We'll definitely be visiting again.

We visited The Queens at Freehay recently with a group of 8 friends. The food and service was brilliant and we had a lovely time. One of the best meals I have had for a long time and the sweets are to die for. Recommend highly

We decided on an impromptu Sunday lunch and visited a local pub on the recommendation of a friend. On entering the Queens there is a bar area although I doubt it is used as a "pub". The whole inside area is turned over to tables, most of which were full. It was a reasonably older age of people eating. Selection... More

We were staying at the quarry walk for the weekend and had a walk up to the queens and must say I as glad we did. A cracking pub that looked to be serving good food. It was Mothers Day so obviously it was busy. We only had a drink and sat in the Beer Garden. All the mother's were... More

Popped in for 'a good value' lunch, as my husband had recently enjoyed lunch here with his parents. For a mid week Tuesday lunchtime it was exceptionally busy. The outside flowers are very inviting and the staff were very friendly. If I'm honest, I would give an average for my not-so-good value scampi, chips and peas at £7.95. Wholetail? Really?... More
