At what point did it stop being Hilltop Tavern? through the 80s and in to the 90s it was one of the nations best burgers, sad to know that hamburger heaven is no longer.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is now closed. Formerly a very good breakfast and burger joint. The rason for its closure is unknown.More
Thanks so much for the kind words! The only reason we had to close is we were unable to renew our lease with the building owner. We searched to fine a suitable location to relocate but were unable to find a decent location at the...More
I'm the queen of simple and drawn to minimalism, with one egg-ception. If you want 'em poached, don't request this made-to-order, here. I was customer 3 of 3 and the other two had paid and were heading out. In light of the crowd, poached eggs--not...More
At Guenther's we require our employees to dress modestly. The over-exposed waitress was corrected and has modified her wardrobe to line up better with our family oriented business.. . As far as poached eggs... sorry... get 'em any which way but "poached"... we keep to...More

Great kitchy decor, amazing burgers, and incredibly friendly staff make this a can't miss Mankato favorite. Formerly known and the Hilltop, this little restaurant serves up great favorites like burgers, potato salad, and tator tots. They keep it simple- and they do it extremely well!
Looking for a small local diner with nostalgic flair (think "animated" Hamm's beer signs, high-back wooden booths, paneling, a short lunch counter, career waitresses, grill sizzling just a few feet away)? Guenther's is the place. Burgers are juicy and flavorful, and you won't find better...More
Small place that you have to keep an eye open for. We're kind of new here, but this place has been here for decades and does an awesome burger. Not open for dinner.
A Mankato landmark. The food is great - from the breakfast to the wonderful hamburgers at lunch. YOu get more then your money's worth, you get a taste of what makes Mankato and Minnesota a wonderful place to visit. Stop in and once you are...More
